Great location for our annual meeting.
Loved the location. Lovely comfortable bed, clean and tidy. Beautiful surroundings and staff very friendly. The breakfast was amazing.
Location is lovely - set in a little Exmoor village. The reception lady was very friendly and helpful.
The bed was a bit soft and the evening meal was pretty ordinary. The older male staff member (? owner) was very non communicative to guests unless it seemed you met the being a local criteria.
The breakfast seemed a disjointed affair although the eggs and toast were adequate
Very good breakfast!
Unfortunately landlady had been away and it had not been cleaned.
Dirty room - was cleaned after we asked.
Cosy atmosphere with great facilities, comfy beds and a comprehensive guest book with tips for local activities / locations for walks etc. The food was amazing!
Nothing!
The staff were friendly and helpful and the Inn had a cosy atmosphere with wood burning stoves. The food was of a very good standard, starting the day with a large and tasty Full English Breakfast, The evening menu had a good selection of traditional dishes and an excellent specials board.. The location in the heart of Exmoor National Park was delightful even with the inclement weather.
The room was comfortable but on the smaller side with no chairs (though it had a very large bathroom), As we booked at short notice and only for a couple of nights, it wasn't a problem as we spent more time in the bar! Next time, if we are staying longer we will book a slightly larger room.
Lovely village - nice pub with great food
Staff very friendly
Nothing really
Location, friendliness
Nothing
Location was nice. Food was reasonable although not a la carte as stated on the menu.
The rooms were dirty and dusty. Wallpaper was pealing off walls, cobwebs and old spectacles were behind radiators, carpets were filthy with what looked like snail trails along the edges.
At no point were we prompted during booking or via the hotels guest portal regarding taking our dog so we ended up in a lesser room (hotel listed as pet friendly with no mention of that being only certain rooms on booking.com) and were made to feel awkward about it.
