A lovely hotel with plenty of seating areas on the ground floor. Room was superb.
Staff fantastic.
Location
Facilities /clubs closed on both nights for private functions and was not informed
It delivered on what it promised and made us all feel welcome and close to all the key spots.
Had an old world feel about it; noted it was about to undergo renovations.

Nothing
The hotel itself is beautiful, very good location and nice big rooms
There was renovation work going on during our stay so we were woken up early every morning. It would have been nice to have been rewarded of this
Room layout good, spacious
Staff are attentive and willing to assist.
Good breakfast
As the hotel knows its decor is dated
There is no safe or complimentary bottled water
The staff were very helpful and welcoming. Pariticularly Holly. The bar area downstairs was relaxed and beautifully decorated and gave high expectations for the hotel.
The bar food was not the standard you would expect in a hotel, the roof top bar was closed (in summer on a beautiful day) and no gluten free options on room service - out of gf pizza bases. But it was the room that was so disappointing. Junior suite that was not any bigger than a standard premier inn room. It needed decorating badly (as did the corridors to the room), no air conditioning and no opening windows and a desk fan. Couple of melted twixes to greet us in the room. The bathroom was functional and clean but needed renovating. As did the whole of 8th floor. Such a shame as we chose it based on the hotel website, above others that were the same price if not cheaper, but would definitely not choose it again.
The look and how attentive the staff were when my door had malfunctioned
The staff are fantastic especially lily in the restaurant and Gareth the concierge
The noise on Saturday night was ridiculous. The room smelt musty. Very dated. Charged us incorrectly for late checkout at £20 instead of £10. Told need to fill a form in for a refund!! Accepted a drink from the bar instead. Very money orientated - £20 a day to park when there are cheap car parks nearby. Lovely Sunday lunch overshadowed by a very rude party of Italians who proceeded to move all the tables around us to accommodate their party. Paid for late checkout but we were woken up at 8am by the workmen hammering above us. No mention of this on the site and no apology from the hotel when they had very few people staying there!
The rooms were a little warm and we struggled to sleep.
Lovely Location perfect to get to where you want to visit in Newcastle staff friendly and welcoming room so clean well worth a visit
Nothing not to like
This room was fun. Excellent location in this lively city. The room was nice and quiet. It was clean and very pretty.
