I attended for a work conference so it was convenient
Rooms very dated. Radiator nosey all night. I booked specifically asking for parking and this was not arranged
Location was ok short walk from city centre
Customer service was a joke. Do not give this hotel your card for the security deposit, they repeatedly took money out of our account that we did not authorise and could not seem to get to the bottom as to why it was happening. The duty manager that dealt with this was not nice and only offered an apology when asked for her name and position. Also requested a birthday plate for my husband and bottle of Prosecco before arrival and neither were in the room, when I mentioned it “Irene demanded proof of this request. Her exact words were “I would love to see the proof of this request as this is the first iv heard of it” appalling way to speak to a paying customer, and when showed the “proof” took a picture on her phone and sorry about that. Will never be back and for the price of the stay we could have stayed somewhere like the Dakota which is much nicer. Once we went down for the 3rd time about money repeatedly coming out of our account Andrew was much nicer dealing with it, still couldn’t explain why it was happening but was very nice to us. Offered us a meal which we declined and gave us complimentary breakfast one morning. Although this was a nice gesture we will not be back and would not recommend.
It was very well positioned for where we wanted to be. Close to the railway station and the venue.
Nothing.
Limited bar meals available and unable to charge drinks or food to the room having already authorised a credit card on check in.
Limited choice of bar food as out of season!!
Location
Really clean
Staff where nice
Nice food
Pillows where really hard
Brilliant location, breakfast was fantastic - lots of options. Staff were lovely and accommodating.
The ‘double’ bed were very small.
Staff were very pleasant and friendly. Concierge helped us with parking and information. Room was good, very clean , warm and bed comfortable. Will be happy to stay again.
Only reason I didn't give 10 was the proximity of room to railway line. Noise was not noticeable through the day but we did hear the trains through the night. Not horrendously loud but we were aware.
All good, enjoyed the 1 night we stayed.
Room was ready early.hotel nice and warm on a very cold night.
Breakfast was plentiful. No complaints
Better quality sausage on breakfast buffet.
Location
Breakfast was good
Not enough staff on reception or in the bar
Lift not working
Great hotel, always an enjoyable stay and a great atmosphere in the public areas, bar, restaurant etc
The bathroom sink drained extremely slowly, it needed unblocked.
The location couldn’t have been better, wonderfully close to public transport with truly stunning views to wake up to. The bed was blissfully comfortable, and the room temperature was perfectly balanced, cosy without being stuffy. The staff were exceptional, warm and professional, and impressively quick to respond to any queries or issues.
We stayed in the Presidential Suite for a special occasion, so expectations were high. On arrival we were unable to access the room, and it took around 20 minutes to resolve due to long queues at reception. Other guests appeared to be experiencing the same issue. Once inside, one of the two bathroom toilets was broken and could not be fixed during our stay, which was disappointing.
The bar located above the suite caused noticeable noise, with music in the evening and furniture being moved from around 7am. Guests paying for a premium suite should be made aware of this. The bar experience itself was also underwhelming, with a Pornstar Martini served without the usual shot of prosecco and priced at £14.95, and £40 charged for a bottle of prosecco the night before. Although the suite is spacious with fantastic views, these issues took the shine off what should have been a memorable celebration
