We left our stay after 30 minutes in the room and chose to purchase a second room in a nicer facility. The hotel smelled musty and smoky, the room was dirty, the advertised remodeling was not reflected by the state of the room. While staff was friendly, the room was not as advertised.

The location of the motel is perfect for any downriver excursions and getting to the major highways. The room was good but I couldn't get the TV to show any program I was selecting. The lobby needs to be updated. The furniture is 1970s and carpeting is a dated dark green. The breakfast was most disappointing to me. It was mostly carbohydrates - waffles, bagels, bread, muffins. There were hard boiled cold eggs and yogurt and cereal. I would have liked some hot eggs, biscuits, and maybe even bacon. I realize that breakfast is free, but instead of 2 waffle irons, put in one waffle iron and something else served hot. People with allergies should be advised that the motel allows animals.

I pre checked in & the desk clerk said I shouldn’t have because it created a double charge.

I booked the room for 3 adults & when we arrived she had me fill & sign a check in paper & she asked me to write the names down of everyone staying in the room.

I thought that was odd.

The rooms were clean but they were doing renovations so I think the price on the rooms should have been lower during this time. The breakfast could have included GF options other than yogurt. The staff was super friendly

Pros:

My stay was excellent. My room was comfortable and clean. It was quiet and the staff was great. My daughter had to have eye surgery, so I truly appreciated the comfort of a nice hotel
