Baymont by Wyndham Kalamazoo West

We were not able to go to breakfast because they were remodeling. we should have been notified ahead of time. It cost us another $20 to eat at a restaurant. One of the reasons we chose this hotel is that they offered breakfast.

The wifi wasn't that good. Had to switch rooms cause of smell and floors didn't seem like they got cleaned right. And ice machine worked one time.

The staff was non existent or either outside smoking POT. The cleanliness of the room and that of the entire hotel should be reported to the health department. The complimentary breakfast was as pathetic as anything I'd ever seen and most of that had been eaten by the children of the staff. No one should ever have to be offered 3 different rooms for a 2 night stay. And if that wasn't enough, I had to get my room keys reprogrammed 6 different times only to gain access and find that the warm day had caused an infestation of bugs coming through the window. The hostess was quick to assure me that the bugs would stay by window. At that point we decided to leave. I thought that with all we'd been through and having to leave a day early on a 2 day stay, I would have been offered a full refund. Instead I was greeted with a load 'goodbye' yelled from the back room. At this point I would like to formally request a full refund of the 186.00 dollars I paid.

We were there to check in before 3:00 PM, and it took over a half an hour to get checked in. We could not imediately go to the room, because we had to be someplace at 4:00PM. When we finally got to our room around 7:00 PM, the room was a mess - dirty laundry, garbage in the room, bed not made (no sheets, blanket), vacuum cleaner in the room.

Door frame by lick was beat up like someone forced their way in the room at some point. A little dis-concerning.

Would love to receive my money back. Booked a 2 queen room, the only room available was a 1 king and my kids slept on the floor.

Proper notice of cancellation the place was overbooked. We paid for our room in advance and we got no room upon arrival I would like a refund ASAP. Please talk to manager Ashley.

The staff at the desk the 3rd shift lady was extremely rude and mocking me with other staff.

The fact that the hotel did not have water for a period of time overnight. They lost power and it does not have a back up generator, which should be pretty much standard in this point in time. Emergency lights were not working. And I had to take a handicapped person down four flights of steps in the dark. Along with people roaming the halls all hours of the night and unable to securely lock my door. Also, the toilets were leaking on the floor when I had water

Staff were MIA when it was time for check in waited well over 10 minutes to even see a staff member once I got ones attention it took another 10 minutes to check me in since their computers apparently weren’t functioning, my room key had to be reprogrammed the second day and locked me out of my room had to go wait another 10 minutes for staff to show up to the front desk again, this isn’t much of a hotel since there are people living here they don’t have guests they have mostly tenants, the outlets are completely useless spots nowhere near the bed the mini fridge was unplugged and had to move the entire entertainment center to plug it back in. The parking lot was dirty people had shopping cats full of stuff outside the hotel, the lobby was dirty the stairs were dirty, and the fire alarm briefly went off at 2 am I only gave it a 2/10 because the room itself was nice and the bathroom was nice literally nothing else was pleasant about this hotel will NEVER be coming back here again

I never stayed there and they refused to give me my refund. They stole my money.

The room was not good. Room 202. The microwave was filthy and the turntable did not work, plus the paint was peeling from inside the top and the bottom revealing metal which is a fire hazard. The tile floor had not been mopped. Got out of the shower and used the floor mat to clean up any drops of water so no one would slip and fall. The towel came up looking black. We spilled some water on the carpet between the beds and used a towel to clean it up, the towel came up with red stains on it from the carpet. When walking in the room there were hard crunchy spots on the carpet.

Towels were clean but left white fuzz on your body.

If management could request new microwaves for the ones gone bad. Check to make sure staff are mopping the floors with cleaner and have the carpets cleaned on a regular maintenance schedule I would recommend this place to others.
