The Lodge at West River

Great stay, pleasant staff, and appreciated the breakfast offerings. We visit the area often and the maple sugaring house across the street was a new find for us and we loved the tour.

Exceeded expectations. Clean and well maintained property with a warm welcoming feel to it. Coffee/drinks snacks readily available and the breakfast was perfect. Great Banana bread😁.

If you come for breakfast after 9 am no fraish coffee made , not much left for breakfast, staff was nice but most of food was gone

It's an outdated roadside motel but it was a great location for a ski day @ Stratton (30 min drive). There aren't many places that have an honor system snack station. Really cute, esp after coming in for a long drive. Sweet breakfast w/ fresh bread/muffins and granola bars to grab/go. My only complaint is that the coffee pot was empty on Sunday AM. Only keurig which is a weak substitute for fresh coffee IMO, but everything else was fine. No complaints

Great spot to stay for skiing in the area. Right off the road with easy parking and check in. Good coffee.

Clean room, attentive staff, and lovely breakfast spread consisting of fresh baked goods, baked eggs, fruits, bread, all kinds of beverages. I've stayed here 2 years in a row now and will be happy to be back.

Excellent place to stay. A short and beautiful drive to Mount snow. The folks running the place really go the extra mile. I was most amazed at not only the timely clearing of the parking lots well before 7 am from 6 inches of snow, but also at then clearing the snow of all the vehicles parked there!
Will certainly be back to stay here again

The hotel was very inviting and cozy. There’s a microwave & mini fridge in the room which came in handy for leftovers. The breakfast was a great grab and go or sit in and eat in the common area. No problem parking and getting around. It’s close to ski resorts, a market/gas station and restaurant. And the staff is super friendly and helpful.

Great spot. Classic motel experience with a nice complimentary breakfast. We stayed the night before skiing Stratton. Perfect location.

Nice room

Staying at the lodge felt like a warm hug! The atmosphere was incredibly cozy, with a very homey vibe. From the soft lighting to the charming touches like handwritten bakery ingredients, it was clear the hotel prioritizes guest comfort.

We stayed in the lodge for three nights, very warm and comfortable. It’s home like loge, not like commercial hotels. We enjoyed the simple but delicious homemade cakes in the morning as breakfast. They have hot water for hot chocolate and tea the whole day, very convenient. It’s close to mount Snow and Stratton. We will be back in summer.

Good stay

Great place to stay and the owners are the best. We had 4” of new snow overnight and when I went out side in the morning to ski Stratton I discovered they had cleaned the snow off my car!

It was located in a beautiful area. The hosts provided gluten-free options as part of the continental breakfast. That was a plus. In a safe environment - slept with the windows open.

This place is amazing and so are David and Oliver. Highly recommend this place.

Overall, the Lodge at West River is a decent, clean, secure, comfortable place to spend one night. The property-- which is actually a motel, not a lodge -- sits next to a surprisingly busy secondary road. For the price, I would have expected more ambience, softer sheets, and on-site dining. I will say the home-baked breakfast treats look amazing (alas, no carbs for me!) All that said, the staff and owners are welcoming, helpful and responsive. And that can be rare these days.

Beautiful location - older inn but well maintained. Some traffic noise but thanks for the complimentary earplugs. Best stop on our whole vacation. Breakfast was amazing -local and fresh. Handy small grocery nearby. Outdoor seating and fire pits. So nice. Loved it.
