It is a nightmare to stay. My room was victim to a burglary due to neglience of staff.

I had an appalling and deeply disturbing experience at Amari Hotel, and I am writing this review because I believe it raises serious concerns about guest safety, hotel security, and management accountability.

During my stay, my room was ransacked due to what appears to be serious negligence by the housekeeping and security teams. Unauthorized personnel were able to gain access to my room, something that should be absolutely impossible in any reputable hotel.

What makes the situation even worse is the hotel’s unacceptable handling of the aftermath. I have since returned to my home country and have repeatedly emailed and called both the General Manager and the Director of Rooms. Despite the seriousness of the incident, I have received almost no meaningful response. The only update I was given was that the culprit had supposedly been caught, and I was then asked to attend the police station. However, when I contacted the hotel again for clarification, guidance, or assistance, I was ignored.

This level of silence is disgraceful. A guest’s room was ransacked, the hotel’s own processes clearly failed, and yet senior management have shown virtually no urgency, accountability, or basic courtesy. Their lack of follow-up suggests either a complete disregard for guest welfare or a shocking failure of internal management, neither of which is acceptable.

A hotel’s most basic responsibility is to keep its guests and their belongings safe. Amari Hotel failed in that responsibility, and then failed again by refusing to communicate properly afterwards.

I would strongly caution anyone considering staying here. If a hotel cannot protect your room, cannot account for how unauthorized access occurred, and cannot even respond properly after such a serious incident, then it is not a place I would ever recommend. This experience has completely destroyed my trust in the hotel and its management.
