Utterly underwhelming and not value for money at all
Pros:

The views from the room were stunning
The check-in was easy
The artworks in the premises were amazing to view, although it was a kitsch of various art styles
Water bottles were well-stocked and enough in number

Cons:

1. The room was not well maintained - for example rotten apples were given and as an experiment we checked - they were unchanged for the 3 days we stayed at the premises despite daily cleaning
2. The breakfast was extremely underwhelming - A. the menu was unchanged in the 3 days including a Sunday we stayed there; even on Sundays there was no extra time allotted for breakfast which was unusual; B. the place was always full and badly managed during breakfast time - we were asked to wait and then walked to some other place for breakfast on 2nd morning of our stay - when we protested and came back to the main breakfast place we were shown to a table that was not yet made, there were unclean tables all around C. the waiters at the breakfast were overworked, badly managed and were generally unresponsive / impassive to requests
3. The pillows in the room were among the worst ever - even when we asked for replacement we twice we did not receive anything better
4. the checkout was even more horrible - as I had to go on a work meeting on the final (Monday) morning, I had checked out with full payment on Sunday night itself - despite that my wife was made to wait more than 30 minutes, and her luggage was not being released when she wanted to move out without me, and was discharged only after a lengthy and frustrating time period, during which we dont know what was being checked. Basic trust and communication were missing I suspect
5. We thought ITCs were all uniformly well managed- we just had a head of state visit ITC in Chennai where we had hosted the Presidential delegation and they were all highly pleased - but we had such an underwhelming experience at ITC Royal Bengal

The effort of the Senior Manager Mr Harsh to damage-control

Cons:

1 bedroom apartment had nothing in the minibar, no cutlery or utensils, i was charged twice by the reception for the hotel accommodation and yet to be refunded, the in-room dining has little variety and there every item we requested mer with a 45 minute wait
