Maxx Hotel Ortigas

when we arrived it was late around 9pm. the guard was friendly and he helped us checked in and help took our stuff in the rooms. He did mention he will open the aircon in room 32. and room 34 where my dad and step mum were in room 34. we paid for 2 queen bed and we received 1 double and 2 single. then they were moved to room 36 with 1 king bed and 1 double. aircon cooled the room quickly. my husband and i came back to the hotel after we were out for an hour and the room was still hot and not cooling. i went down stairs as theres no phone on the room. then spoke to the guard the room is not cooling. then i told him I will take a shower and when I come out and the room is still not cold we will have to move. then as predicted. I asked my husband and daughter they said they were sweating. so we moved to a new room in the 5th floor. we had to move rooms several times in total i saw 5 rooms. we were tired, they could have checked the messages if theres a new check in customer. Yes place is big. only 3 parking space available. staff are helpful with our stuff putting in the car when we left.

I had a disappointing experience during my stay. Despite paying for a room with breakfast, the front desk informed me that breakfast wasn’t available. When I contacted Agoda, they assured me that breakfast would be provided, but the front desk claimed they had not been informed by Agoda. Later, Agoda clarified that only pastries and coffee would be served, but this turned out to be false as nothing was offered. Additionally, the lobby had numerous leaks, the bathroom was constantly wet, and the room had an unpleasant odor. Given the poor communication and maintenance issues, I strongly advise against booking a room with breakfast at this hotel, as you may end up being misled and disappointed. I will also be reporting this issue to the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) for fraud and deceit to gain money.

Accommodating staff

The hotel itself is a refurbished old building, interiors are all right and the rooms are new but the stairs need some repairing done.

I stayed for two nights and I wasnt able to sleep well on the first night because the room assigned to me was located at the Pasig Blvd side. I requested to be transferred the next day to which they gladly allowed.

The bed was soft and the TV, albeit small, was a smart one so was able to cast and do some Netflix.

The basement parking area is a nightmare for those with large vehicles, too narrow horizontally.

They also charged me 500 pesos for a tiny stain but didn't bother to double check as I was in a hurry.

Overall okay but you can stay at much better places such as Red Planet or Privato, with prices more or less the same.

Very service minded staff and a very comfy bed which is very important. Netflix on the TV is also nice to have but I missed a small refridge in the room.

It was very noisy and hardly slept due to people in the reception and noisy staff
