La Luna Inn is the spot!
Pros:

Antoine at the front desk should have his own PBS Kids show cause he’s so nice when he explains stuff and generally unforgettable. Generally super friendly staff who helped us store tons of bags after checkout. Amazing location next to Presidio, beaches, great walks. A block from great food for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Not touristy, safe to walk around in. You’ve never taken such a perfect temp shower with water pressure that good. Next to a road for easy in and out of you have a car but not noisy when trying to sleep. Amazing location to call a Uber/Lyft to.

Great location right near Marina and nice restaurants. Nice lobby. Reasonable price for area

Cons:

Didn’t expect miracles but the room could have been slightly better. Pretty shoddy walls. Heater barely worked and not convinced it was safe. That said it was clean with a big comfortable bed so it did the job.
