Please be advised that facade cleaning and painting works will be carried out at Village Hotel Bugis until 6 November, daily from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM. In view of the project, from 2 September to 6 October, the swimming pool will be temporarily closed for safety reasons. While efforts will be made to minimise disruption, some noise may be experienced during work hours. We apologise for any inconvenience caused and thank guests for their understanding as we undertake these enhancement works to improve the hotel experience.

Good for the price
The fact they advertised a pool but it could not be used
Rooms are spacious and comfortable. Location is good, walking distance to restaurants and cafes. Theres bidet in the bathroom and thats a bonus. Hotel staffs are accommodative.

The staff were really pleasant and helpful and the location was really good, near MRT and bus stops and easy access to a variety of food areas.
The room facilities were not as good as they could have been - dated

Old property. Needs rehabilitation. Specially floor carpets.
Location was excellent, easy walking distance to the Arab Quarter (across the road), downtown (only 3 blocks from Raffles Hotel), Little India, etc. Short walk to Bugis Metro Station and lots of local buses. Good mix of street food and shopping mall restaurants very close by and walking distance from some great down town restaurants. Waterfront (River or Bay) and Gardens by the Bay easily accessible; also National Library, Art Gallery & several museums.
The room was a standard motel room but I loved the very comfortable super king size bed and the large windows giving great views over Singapore. Shower water pressure also good. Staff friendly and helpful.
Room could have been a little bigger, but not a major issue. We could still store our large suitcases without too much difficulty.
Shower was over the bath, so not good for people with arthritic knees etc. Not a problem for us personally.
Nowhere in reception area where you could just sit and wait for someone or take a cup of coffee and relax.
The air-conditioning in the room worked well but was rather noisy.

Under Reno no pool and was not advised was given option to use sister hotel via transportation and this did not go well
Spacious room
When i arrived there some of the facility cant be used due to renovation and cleaning work such as swimming pook. The hotel offer to send us to other hotel but i think its not very convenient to do so.
The location was fantastic. Close to everything.

Central location - walking distance to two different train lines, right across the street from Haji Lane
When we went, the building was under renovations, so there was no one at the front desk. We waited a good 5 minutes before we noticed a sign that said to use the hotel phone to call for assistance, and when I did, a lady informed us that check in was on a different floor but mumbled the number, so I asked for confirmation, but she hung up. So we then went to the wrong floor and sat there for a good 10 minutes before someone happened to walk by and tell us where to go.
Location is good. short walking to MRT. Restaurant is available around the hotel. Short walking distance to tourist attarction area. Only few stations to Gardens by the bay.
I pay a lot to stay for 3 nights. Expensive
