Please be advised that facade cleaning and painting works will be carried out at Village Hotel Bugis until 6 November, daily from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM. In view of the project, from 2 September to 6 October, the swimming pool will be temporarily closed for safety reasons. While efforts will be made to minimise disruption, some noise may be experienced during work hours. We apologise for any inconvenience caused and thank guests for their understanding as we undertake these enhancement works to improve the hotel experience.

Great position, simple but comfortable and spacious rooms.

Convenient for a short trip to Singapore but definitely not for a luxury vacation.
Pros:

Great location for seeing the older part of the city and for proximity to mosques. Good hot water and water pressure, clean room, good air conditioning, fresh linens, mini fridge and hot water kettle.

Cons:

Attempts were made to update the hotel, but very haphazardly. I appreciated that the room seemed very clean but the updates were very sloppy and not polished. The paint jobs were terrible. The hotel has a lot of potential but significant corners are being cut. You can hear your neighbors clearly through the door that connects the rooms. Lots of guests from loud and non self-aware locations

Location..easy access to public transport, many halal restaurants nearby

Staff attitude..reach around 2.30pm.. requested for connecting rooms during booking..one room only available.. asked to wait 45 mins and receptionist to call when ready..after 1 hr.. i called..they will check & will call ..nothing.. second call made.. room ready.. there was a sofa blocking the connecting door for both rooms...we have to push sofa to open door.. we call reception to take one of sofa because room was small for triple bed with sofa there was no room to move around..& also clean floor.. one lady appeared..seems to be grumbling & mentioned no towel to clean floor.. came back to clean floor & still grumbling.. room is old .. dated furniture
Next day breakfast in the dining room.. many tables were not cleared .. second day the coffee machine was not working... Food is nice but takes time to top up..
Need to improve the receptionist attitude..be more friendly..
