Nothing
Everything, awful experience
The room (310) didn't have enough towels and wash clothes, the tub was dirty and had damage to it. There was a roach in the room. There wer4 no covers or pillows for the pull out bed. You couldn't log on to streaming such as Netflix.
Espaciosa la habitación, limpia, el desayuno muy bueno

Nice hotel, well maintained, except for the fire alarm.
The fire alarm kept going off. The staff kept saying it was a false alarm.
Good location and clean rooms
Day staff
Our arrival was met with an uncharacteristic and lengthy delay of over an hour. Regrettably, the poise expected of the concierge was absent; the front desk staff addressed the entire waiting party with an unprofessional tone and a public display of discourtesy that is inconsistent with a premium guest experience.
Fire alarm went off multiple times in the middle of the night. Got no sleep. Front desk was rude. No follow up by management and it’s been nearly 2 weeks since complaint.
I stayed one night at the Hyatt Place Houston-North and it was one of the worst hotel experiences that I’ve ever had.
This property is well below Hyatt brand standards in almost every respect.
The most serious issue was cleanliness. My room’s walk-in shower had extensive black mold. This was not a small patch or minor discoloration — it was widespread and clearly the result of long-term neglect. Mold like that does not appear overnight, suggesting the shower has not been properly cleaned or maintained in a very long time.
World of Hyatt elite recognition was also nonexistent. I’m a globalist and received zero acknowledgment at check-in. Even a very basic request for a room on the top floor was not honored.
The room itself had extremely limited amenities. The only toiletries were a bar of soap and wall-mounted shampoo, conditioner, and body wash dispensers. No lotion and no mouthwash were provided. There was also no in-room safe and no laundry bag in the closet.
Although the hotel advertises a 2023 renovation, the property already shows significant wear and tear. The renovation appears to have been done cheaply and poorly. Furniture in the lobby was scuffed and scratched with some upholstery torn or ripped.
Technology in the room was also lacking. The TV did not work at night (though oddly it worked the next morning). There was only one accessible electrical outlet and one accessible USB outlet in the room, which is completely inadequate for charging devices.
Food and beverage options were also misleading. The hotel advertises the Hyatt Place brand standard Placery bar and restaurant with a menu of burgers, sandwiches, salads, and other items. None of that was available here. No food was being served. The bar sold only beer — no wine and no meaningful drink selection.
The pantry was equally disappointing. The only items available were soda/pop and desserts. There were no snacks or basic grab-and-go options.
Even more bizarre, the hotel requires a credit card hold for incidentals but does not allow you to charge anything to your room. When I asked the front desk why they require an incidental hold if nothing can be charged, the employee gave one of the most shocking responses I’ve ever heard in a hotel: she said the hold is “in case you poop on the floor or rub poop on the walls.” I’m not exaggerating. That was her explanation. It was astonishingly unprofessional and raises serious questions about the type of clientele the hotel deals with.
All things considered, this is an awful Hyatt Place and far below what the brand normally represents. Between the mold, lack of amenities, poor renovation, nonexistent food service, and unprofessional staff, this property should be avoided.
If you need to stay in this area, you would be far better off booking the nearby Marriott or Hilton.
Nice hotel, better than Marriott courtyard in my opinion. Enjoyed free breakfast daily and free WiFi that allowed me to continue work while on travel.
Desayuno, normal. Habitación, mal olor-camas pésimas-baño desagradable sucio. No use el aeropuerto.
