Excellent overnight stay in almost all respects.
Pros:

Ideal overnight, good dinner though chicken and mushrooms soup a bit ordinary. Excellent lamb shank.
Good breakfast , helpful staff.

Cons:

Room a bit dark. ......staff couldn't name a sparkling wine similar to chardonnay, after they had run out of suavignon blanc. Front door opened, via reception onto dining room , so there were some cold drafts....perhaps double doors and a small foyer?

Pleasant and comfortable and definitely worth staying here on travels through Newcastle.
Pros:

Breakfast was buffet and there was a lot to choose from, all the offerings were well prepared and staff serving was very helpful, it is always good to start the day on a high note and the breakfast here helps with that

Cons:

I can really not say that there was anything that i was displeased with, the rooms and bathrooms are spacious, nothing really to constructively crit on this venue. Maybe they can provide a bigger space to work off having all this space.
