love waking up on granville island. beautiful morning strolls and evening stroll with the dog. safe
Pros:

We like that the hotel is pet friendly. we were given the 2nd floor when we checked in. we initially accepted and then we went back to ask and Pavel said he could arrange for that. Very willing to accomodate for a ground level - so that we could leave the hotel easier as our dog doesn't like to be too close to people and it can get quite closed in for her that when she is in narrow hallways and around the elevator.
For that, it was a great start to our stay.

Cons:

parking has gotten even more limited due to the excavation/construction in the back. one night we had to park in the passenger loading zone. we let the front desk know and he came out to check and look and assured us that it was acceptable to do so.

Excellent place to stay!!
Pros:

Granville Island is a great place to be in Vancouver. The public market is a wonderful destination for a morning walk. The hotel has a nice patio restaurant overlooking the harbor and the staff is always helpful. The water taxi runs regularly if you need to go into the city.

Cons:

Our room was small and hadn't been updated recently, but it was clean and the shower had a spray wand.

We enjoyed our stay at Granville Island hotel the staff really made the stay so pleasant and enjoyable
Pros:

Nice location on the water that made for beautiful walking along the harbor and down the street into the Granville shopping district. Property is clean and well maintained.

Cons:

The furniture was too big for the room, making the room feel claustrophobic and hard to move around in. There were two full-size beds in the room and probably should’ve only been one king.

Fine but not worth the cost.
Pros:

Great location. Can walk to downtown along water pathway. Conveniently located right in the middle of the action at Granville Island.

Cons:

Paid extra for a balcony. It was very small, unclean, and looked out on a construction site - basically unusable. For the cost, we expected a much nicer room. It was a bit dated. Nothing inside was better than your average hotel room. Parking was expensive - it was listed as much less in a review on Booking.com but after checking in, we realized the comment was old.

Room was very nice and location was great.
Pros:

The location was great. Staff were nice. Room was nice with a great view.

Cons:

Staff, although nice, could have been more knowledgeable about how to get around or things to see since there was no concierge.
Restaurant was very expensive and I heard the food is not as good as it used to be so we never ate there.
The lobby is not very comfortable or inviting. The seating arrangement is a bit strange, in the hallways too.

I Really Love the Granville Island Hotel.
Pros:

Staff is very friendly and helpful. The Hotel is beautifully located.

Cons:

I was a little disappointed in the server in the restaurant- dining alone - I didn’t feel very comfortable- with our interaction or service. That had definitely been better.
