We love Vancouver and the Granville Island Hotel is a lovely spot, not too big, with beautiful views
Pros:

Staff was gracious, allowed us to check in a little early and we had a beautiful room overlooking the water. We were steps away from the water taxis and all of the wonderful shops, galleries and eateries.

Cons:

Not a thing.

Skip the dining room, bad service and mediocre food.
Pros:

The location is wonderful

Cons:

The restaurant is sadly not a place to celebrate important events. We had very bad service and told them so, the response was not adequate IMO. We won’t dine there again.

Pros:

Great location Attended the jazz festival on site
Excellent Breakfast and supper at dockside restaurant
Bought food at market to attend a family BBQ. Rented E bikes near by
Easy access to fisherman's wharf to family boat
Took aqua bus to check out Granville street for FIFA soccer festivities as well as Yaletown

It was an amazing experience!
Pros:

I loved the location and balcony views. I absolutely fell in love with Granville Island Village! The staff at GIH is top notch and went out of their way to accommodate my early arrival from Hong Kong. Overall, it was an amazing experience.

Cons:

Honestly, this was the most I've ever paid for a hotel room, and I guess that I'm not familiar with what $600 a night hotels are supposed to be like. For some reason, I expected more from the room itself - great view and location though.
