Cons:

I guess the battery in the door to our room died. We couldn't get into our room and we were burying our father that morning. There was no system to get in. Luckily, a super competent maintenance person (LeShawn I believe) was able to help us. He worked really hard and did a wonderful job!

I love this hotel
Pros:

Beautiful building the staff make you feel very welcome and they call up to your room and check on you. The valet is nice and the guys are awesome!!!

Cons:

We stayed on the odd side which face the street. The cars w load music ….. the bass reverberates through the building so that side of the hotel on the fourth floor is loud

A wonderful welcoming environment makes you feel you've gone back in time!
Pros:

The environment is so gorgeous, I just wanted to hang out there every day. Food and drink options are great. Exercise room is excellent compared with other hotel properties. Lots of lounge options for hanging out. rooms are spacious. Parking access is great. I love all of the historical art, posters, sculptures as well as the newer stuff too. The unusual and beautiful decor, with something unique in each main public area, makes staying here quite an experience.

Cons:

We always use a microwave and would appreciate that addition to each room! Parking is high price, but I appreciated the in-and-out option.

Historial Comfortable Hotel - Be Aware of Parking Situation
Pros:

Loved the facility; it is amazing. The history of the building is what was most attractive. The staff was all very cordial and courteous. We enjoyed a comfortable night's sleep in our king-size room.

Cons:

The only downfall is parking situation. If you are visiting, please note that you will be paying for parking in the garage. It's $22.00 a day if you stay and don't leave. If you choose to go out and tour the city or go out for lunch or dinner, it then becomes $35.00 a day.

Would not stay at the Brown hotel again. It is definitely showing the age and needs major updates.
Pros:

Main lobby is really neat, location is great. Convenient to all things downtown Louisville.

Cons:

Gap between door and floor is big, can see hallway light come through along with all the noise. The shower did not drain, and the toilet did not flush well. Paint in bathroom peeling off.

Really cool old hotel, need to update beds and furniture.
Pros:

Great location and staff.

Cons:

All the furniture in the room needed to be refurbished. The bed was the worst I’ve ever slept on in a hotel. It was an old spring mattress with a worn out topper. The hair dryer was sticky with hair spray. The ironing board needed to be replaced and the iron leaked.

Was most expected n very nice breakfast staff was amazing as well.. room was cozy n nice n comfy for our stay

Ice machine on our floor wasnt working and had to move around n hunt down ice finally found on another floor besides that it was an ace stay ty

Pros:

The Beautiful old antique feel, the history,clean and extremely friendly staff. Bother the cafe and restaurant were great! Have to have the Hot Brown so delicious!!

Great two days in Louisville!
Pros:

It was a historic facility with a rich heritage. The grander of the furnishings and grand lobby on the second floor is great. Everyone we interacted with with professional and lovely.
