Lovely location
Rooms were a bit tired. Furniture was worn and underneath was pretty dusty. Staff were all lovely but the service was pretty slow even though it wasn’t very busy. There was an open fire but it was never lit. This would have made a difference in the lounge bar. The food was pretty average. On the second breakfast served a small pot of baked beans each. 3 beans in my partners pot and five in mine. The rest was just sauce. Tiny amount of mushrooms. Breakfast was pretty disappointing
Cancelled on me sent me to sister hotel 25 miles each way
The breakfasts looked and smelled delicious, however my travelling companion can not eat more than a slice of toast and I feel guilty eating when he can`t. Anywhere else I would have asked for the breakfast as a take away for later, but was on my best behaviour, being in a five star hotel, my first time ever. Staff were all lovely and friendly, other guests happy to chat and nice to see dog friendly areas with friendly dogs.
There was nothing not to like, everything was perfect, truly the stuff that dreams are made of.
The staff, the quality of the Restaurant which has greatly improved since our last visit
Nothing
From Phillip to Gerald the gamekeeper, including Alexander and the lovely lady who served me my traditional Highland fish breakfast but I’ve forgotten her name (Victoria?), all the staff, especially the kitchen staff for the marvellous food, went beyond the pale. I recommend this haven of peace. The summer might be a different ballgame altogether.
Nothing.
Our request for a quiet table for dinner in the bar was met with ease. Bedroom and bathroom were spacious and very comfortable. The varied and well presented breakfast in the restaurant, looking over the golf course with the sun shining , was a lovely start to our day.
The location, food and staff
Room was tired and not very clean.
Breakfast was poor and we got food poisoning
Service was shoddy, food was not good and we were bitten by bed bugs
I loved the room, outlooking the first tee at Royal Dornoch golf course, the huge shower room, the breakfast and the free parking next to the front door.
Nothing.
I have always have a pleasant stay there
