Great location in a slightly quieter, very cool, area of Tokyo, but still walkable to loads of stuff including Ueno and Asakusa. The roof top hot tub is pretty special!
Front desk not often manned. We were sent away as we were 35mins early for 3pm check in, although we could leave our bags securely. When we returned, we waited 15mins for someone to arrive at the desk to check us in. Only hotel where we couldn’t get into our rooms a little bit earlier and it wasn’t that the room wasn’t ready, just that they were sticking to the rules.
Great location, easy check in, comfortable stay
There’s no water cooler, so you have to keep asking the reception for water if you need more than a bottle a day. There is no storage in the room
Location was good and quiet. Close to Ueno station, park and Asakusa. The onsen was nice too.
Rooms were very small, especially with two suitcases it felt quite cramped.
- the room was fairly spacious, clean, modern and well equipped for the price and location
- the roof top Onsen was a nice get away and for relaxing at the end of the day
- the location was good for touristy places
- the Onsen hours men started at 10pm each day. Would have been good for morning session too
- no coin laundry, but there was a separate business two doors down
- the fire alarm on my floor went off at 10pm. Front desk called to say they’d investigate but didn’t get back to me. Was left a little anxious though i did check the hall - though the elevator was out of use.
