Disappointed in the lack of upkeep
Pros:

I liked that the location was close to George Mason University, where I could visit my sister. I also liked their breakfast which was included in the price. I had a few good experiences here a year or two ago. The room is always clean, which is a plus.

Cons:

The room smelled like cigarette smoke. The hand soap and body wash bottles were empty and did not dispense well and the bed sheets smelled of smoke. This establishment has seen better days and has declined considerably in terms of upkeep.

I like the Sonesta concept. Always clean and with friendly staff.
Pros:

It has a great location if you're passing through. Easy access, close to the highway, but very quiet. The staff was great and splitting it up in different - almost overlapping - buildings creates a secluded experience.

Cons:

What's with these types of breakfast? They are all the same wherever you stay. It's so easy to make it just a little bit healthier - and fresher. And who eats pre-pealed eggs?
