The staff was excellent. The coffee for breakfast was very good. The location for our needs was fine.
It could have been cleaner. The in room coffee maker was filthy. The hotel was dated and dirty in some area.
The close proximity to Doheny State Beach and Dana Point Harbor. The price was great. The included breakfast was good and just enough for my three sons. Staff was very friendly.
The beds were uncomfortable. The pet relief area needs to be updated with grass and not gravel. It is just outside of the parking structure. I went out around 6:30 am with my dog and sons to walk and relieve my lab and there was some less than desirable activity going on with what seemed to be a vagrant engaging in drug activity. Not what I want my sons exposed to. If my husband were not with us, he is usually gone alone of the Summer because he is a firefighter, I would not have stayed here. He walked our dog at night and encountered the same sort of activity.
The staff was very sweet and inviting. Overall quite and anything we asked for they had and delivered speedy service. Absolutely loved the location. Close to family friendly area on the beach, but only a short 5 minute drive and your by a beautiful beach that's more secluded
Definitely needs some upgrades. Mold in shower and on the window curtains. Trash left over from previous guests. Rust and mold was kinda everywhere
The room was clean. Roomy. The beds were super comfy. The jet tub was a favorite of my grandson. The staff was very friendly and attentive. When I asked about restaurants within walking distance to the hotel, the front desk lady told me what was close and where each was located. Every question I text was answered promptly except one (I'll get to that). I would 100% come again and refer my friends. The breakfast attendant was sweet and helpful. Housekeeping was all smiles when we passed them in the hall. I'm sorry I didn't keep track of names but a big thanks to all for making my little vacation so wonderful. My grandsons had a blast.
The one question that wasn't answered was the question I texted about the pool. I read that it was heated, but to my 7 yr old grandsons disappointment, it was not.
I wasn't crazy about the breakfast. The sausage was covered in water, the eggs looked weird, they ran out of Oj, and the setup could be laid out better to avoid big traffic in the tightest corner. The reviews were so positive about the breakfast that I guess I was expecting more. My opinion is it could easily be much better with a few inexpensive changes and staying on top of ordering supplies.
My only negative about our room was the patio. Being a dog friendly hotel, they should have a way of cleaning the dog pee off the wall.
Room was clean
No shade or umbrellas in pool area and only 1 lounge chair.
The rooms weren’t clean complained of a smell ! The hotel tried to say something about smoking while I’m 7 months pregnant ! Discrimination at its finest!
Bed was comfortable
Given ADA room at farthest location from elevator outside hotel. Room door was poorly hung. Gaps on all sides. Bathroom not cleaned properly or needs updating. Balcony furniture covered in bird feces. Unusable.
