Studio 6 Extended Stay Huntsville, AL - US Space & Rocket Center

Room booked well in advance.
Was called to confirm our stay.. to arrive to no room.. had to fight with them and booking.com as room was paid for.. finally got a room.. to be charged extra fees not aware of.. $10 housekeeping fee.. to never have the room cleaned.. no fresh towels swapped.. was told after complaints that you have to add your room on a list to be cleaned and bring your linen and towels down to office to be washed then return to collect them.. even after putting room on housekeeping list... stil did not get cleaned room didn't have stated cooking utensils... the girl who checked us in was helpful.. everyone else kept the office door locked during business hrs and you had to call them... craziness at its finest

That I had to check out and back in every day when it's an extended stay I would think they would offer weekly rates
But the price is low enough, is it? It's okay. Just wish I didn't have to go. Is the office every day to check out and check back in

The kitchen did not have any cookware (it was supposed to be a fully stocked). When I went to the office to ask about it, I was told that they didn’t have any cookware to give me. I asked them to call their boss in upper management. Their boss said there was nothing they could do, due to the fact that they had people living at the property who needed the cookware. I then asked for a partial refund of the price I paid for my room considering I would have to eat at restaurants, instead of being able to prep my own meals. I was told there would be an answer within 24 hours from upper management. I went back to the office the next day, the office staff said they never heard back from upper management. I was there for four nights, on the last day of my stay the police showed up to the property on two separate occasions, and rescue along with the police showed up on another occasion. I had to clean my room after I checked in because it was filthy. The floors looked like they had only been swept, not mopped. The kitchen was filthy.

When we arrived our room needed to be cleaned. We were going to be put in room 103, so I had my husband pull around and we’d wait for the guy to clean it. While waiting some teen busts in that room. Cleaning guy comes, realizes someone is in there and leaves. I go back to the front to ask if that’s the right room.. she checks and comes back and tells me there are no more rooms available and that she hadn’t checked me in yet.. good! So I book another hotel. But now this hotel refuses to reimburse me! Do NOT stay here w/your families. It’s not safe. It took that kid 3 seconds to get in the room. Looked like they might have been squatters.

I showed up at 4:30 this time and they said I had no room, although I had a confirmed reservation nonrefundable. I paid for a night I didn't stay. I frantically had to find another hotel. As an out of state traveller, this makes you anxious and I didn't have time for this hassle.

Still got charged for a hotel that we couldn't stay at because of no rooms ..

The room smelled like menthol cigarettes despite being labeled as non-smoking, and the previous occupant had covered the smoke detector with a plastic bag that had not been removed. Our clothes picked up the cigarette smell and stank for the rest of our trip. There was only 1 housekeeper and they were insanely overworked, so few things were clean. Lots of the linens were lightly stained, there was a piece of rotting meat in the sink, and the floor was visibly dirty in places. Additionally, we were told upon arrival that because they had to hire a new housekeeper there was an additional $10 fee plus $2 per night utility fee that was not mentioned beforehand. We had to specifically request 6 different items for the room that were missing upon entering, including pillow cases, toilet paper, and bath towels. We were unable to get bath towels for our entire two night stay because the laundry had not been cleaned, so we had to use hand towels after showering. They only offered 1 very thin sheet for the bed, which was not sufficient. The staff did not come up to fix any of these issues when we called the front desk about them, so we had to go down to the office and wait a while for help every time.

Check in was delayed and almost missed the first event we were to attend. The room was filthy, not all the sheets were on the bed, only one set of towels were available, very noisy adjoining rooms up to 120am…

I asked for a bottom floor because of my husband's health he had to have surgery at Huntsville Hospital main that's why we always have to stay close to the hospital and have been staying at this same place for over 10 years now not only for the price but the place has always been clean. NOT anymore not only do they charge you for EVERYTHING now but is not kept clean we were put on the top floor and had to use the elevator it was smoked in.
The property is falling apart the roof you can see threw the place where you check in stinks of pot and flowers trying to cover the smell and have to wait 20 minutes to get checked in. Just a few things

There are additional fees when you check in. The room was not fully cleaned with an unflushed toilet and dirty towels.

They closed at 11pm so I couldn’t check in

Well it was I didn't dislike anything but there was an incident that I must tell you about on the morning of the 7th I found the maintenance man I passed out in the elevator I called 911 because he was gasping for air I had to do chest compressions on him until the fire department showed up to where they could render aid to him I kept him alive until they showed up it was something I didn't mind doing because I didn't want to see him die
