Room decor a bit tired
Fantastic panoramic lake views, very nice room with balcony, comfortable bed and pillows, decent TV and a good shower.
The bed was just missing a headboard, and the bathroom fan was a bit noisy when turned on, but we had a great stay.

Right beside the lake. Short drive to town.
Small rooms. Noisy. Weird gym (in a kirchen alcove, no privacy from pool.) Out of order sauna. Breakfast was good but basic. Pricey for the quality of the facilities.
Location - close to town but not too noisy like elsewhere. Very clean too compared to my last stay at a different place in Taupo
Lights were left on by the pool and we couldn’t see the lake from our room.

The service, food, and the view!
The Grotto was a bit strange. I loveee how it is a spa but inside a cave like atmosphere felt a bit strange.
On arrival, we asked if it was possible to upgrade to Lakeview room. They happily helped us with this request.
Fantastic view of the lake...beautiful, huge king bed too. Great buffet breakfast and a lovely guy playing his music at night.
Was a shame the shower was too small for the water pressure, had issues trying to stop the water from going everywhere. Apart from this, everything was good.
The location was great and the view was beautiful
Out room card didn't work on the second day and I had to keep getting reception to let me into our room. This was highly disappointing and it wasn't until another staff member said I needed new cards, and no one else had told us this.
The fridge was farrrr too noisy!!!
Lovely stay in a very comfortable hotel. Staff were incredibly attentive, room was very comfortable and an amazing shower. Dined in for a great dinner. Also stayed for breakfast that was well worth the $25 charge. Will definitely stay again!

Staff at the bar was rude to my husband, when he ordered a drink for us both. Yet bent over backwards helping two women guests - that stated they were not staying there
