Luxurious hotel that’s affordable!
Pros:

The place is perfect for my 50th the lakefront view it’s family friendly,quite,clean rooms and accessible to town.
We had a private room for 15 people for buffet dinner and the food is tasty & delicious the staff are all amazing helpful accomodating & friendly. We will visit again!

Great location but lacking in luxury.
Pros:

The hotel,is in a beautiful,location right on the water. Very comfortable bed.

Cons:

The hotel has become very dated. The bathroom in particular, the shower is very small and the tiles are very outdated.

Can’t understand the few negative comments about this hotel
Pros:

Some of the reviews we’ve read on TA about this hotel before we left the UK seemed quite negative. Have to say we’re now not sure why. We loved the place. We only stayed one night but couldn’t fault the staff, the accommodation, the location or the food in any way. They made us most welcome and were so helpful. The town is a lot more upmarket than Rotorua and the standard of accommodation and restaurants reflects this. In our opinion this hotel fits right in there with the best

Lovely room and enjoyable stay but not an easy walk to town
Pros:

Spacious room with good view of lake
Friendly staff, especially in bar
Grotto thermal pool was an unusual bonus
Warm swimming pool

Cons:

The WiFi did not work consistently
Patio doors were too close together so no privacy especially with public walking past along lakeside
Shower was small and needs updating
