Overall, I had a very pleasant experience. Elevators are small so take note of that in case you have a big party or lots of luggage, may have to make two trips. You can't beat the location as you're in walking distance to a plethora of things. I toured 3 apartments in this area and was able to walk to each one in less than 5 minutes--made apartment hunting in Richmond a breeze. Bonus point for having a microwave as a lot of hotels nowadays seem to not be putting them in the rooms any more. The Jefferson was exceptionally spacious and without a doubt would be this suite again!
Wish I could have checked in at least one hour early before 3pm, but my room was ready at 2:30 which ended up working out since I had two appts that I was able to get done prior to check-in. Smart-TVs in the room would have been great cause then you can airdrop or airplay from your phone--the button for streaming platforms didn't seem to work when I pushed the, but I had my tablet so I was able to stream shows that way. Elevators are small so take note of that in case you have a big party or lots of luggage, may have to make two trips.
Solitude
The fact that I had to pay valet parking and my car never made it to the garage. The staff was very friendly.
The room was well designed, I liked the couch and the full length mirror.
The water in the shower didn't even get past warm. The room didn't get much natural light and the window faced other rooms' windows, such that I couldn't open the blinds without compromising my privacy. Parking was hard to find around the location, which is probably why they are selling $40 valet parking.
It’s a really beautiful place and the service was very good.
I can’t think of anything I didn’t like.
Right next to the Virginia Capitol, the fun is a bit away....yet only 10min to the Airport, the rooms are the size of apartment...excellent and historic with over 100yrs.
Price of Parking..
The valet service was pushy for a tip. Also you are forced to use valet service because there is no other parking in the area.
Shane was wonderful!!!
No breakfast
The hotel is very well located and the rooms are renovated and modern. The public spaces are very nice with interesting design
There was a bit of wear and tear in minor areas of the room and hallway.
Really nice valet staff. All staff great customer service.
The water for the shower wasn’t hot enough
