We had a grea birthday trip and the hotel staff and space made it extra special!
Pros:

Great space and great staff!

Cons:

Pull out coach was there and clean, so that’s a win. Pull out was only so-so when it comes to comfort

Pros:

Location is superb, right in front of the State Capitol. Also restaurant/breakfast downstairs is really good. Delicious food and great service.

Cons:

Hotel is a renovated historical building, but some parts are not well kept and not very clean (windows have spider webs on the outside and carpets look very dirty in the rooms). Beds and showers are well kept and clean so it was alright.

Enjoy a piece of history
Pros:

Great boutique hotel with large rooms. Thoughtfully decorated and designed. Loved learning about the history of this hotel. On the register of historic hotels, don’t miss this gem! Enjoyed a nice dinner in the hotel restaurant - shrimp tacos were great. Hotel staff are very friendly and accommodating. If you’re looking for a unique hotel with large rooms in a great location, this is the place!

My new favorite Richmond hotel
Pros:

Charming hotel with very welcoming and helpful staff. Our room was very comfortable, with lots of space and a lovely, deep sofa at the foot of the king bed. This was perfect for reading and watching TV. I recommend the happy hour and want to draw special attention to Jovhan, at the front desk, who single-handily fixed a problem in our bathroom, and the charming bartender, Sean. Terrific atmosphere; easy location; great value for Richmond.

Commonwealth is more than a hotel.
Pros:

What a hidden gem! A total surprise for a downtown hotel. First off, the staff is top notch! Our room or shall I say suite was huge and gorgeous! Furniture so comfortable, great workspace, coffee bar, mini fridge and microwave. Bedroom was huge with the most comfortable beds.
We were also treated at their lounge area by a wonderful bartender named Quan. Great mixologist and from the kitchen we had the most incredible crab dip. More than enough for 3-4 people!

And I still can’t say enough about their staff. We accidentally left our suitcases as we drove away to Washington and didn’t realize it until we got home. Their front desk manager helped us arrange to have them fed-exed to us and she personally walked the bags to the fed ex office. We can’t thank Laura Shirooni enough. She embodies all the best of what customer service should be.

Location is good. But there are other hotels too.
Pros:

Location

Cons:

The room is dusty, the windows are dirty, one of the mattress is dented, the towels on the rack are dusty, the coffee machine isn’t working, no real cup but paper cup. AC too noisy. If turned off, room became stuffy. Carpet too old, bathroom door can’t lock, bathtub slippery, after one night sleep, I had backache and stuffed throat. Your toilet is also not flushing well, the wash basin doesn’t drain well…. In one note, I don’t see the room has been maintained.

Beautiful and comfortable but unfortunately terrible management
Pros:

Amazing rooms and beautiful hotel. Very comfortable bed. Unfortunately, there is no visible management. No coffee at all in the hotel. "we are out.". No breakfast meats. I am not sure how you can be out with amazon and costco in Richmond. I waited outside the restaurant to learn they had minimal breakfast items. The young lady serving was alone and multiple tables dirty so new guests couldn't sit down.
The valet "got sidetracked" and got someone else's vehicle. This made me rush to a meeting after waiting 25 minutes for my car.

Great location, nice staff, great area to stay to see the history of the city.
Pros:

The location was supreme for visiting the Capitol and museums. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We really enjoyed staying in a suite and having a little space! The building is old, but they've done a nice job of renovating it into a fun space.

Cons:

They've done the renovations, but you can see that it needs to be maintained more.
