We had a wonderful time exploring the property and hearing the history. The staff went above an beyond before even asking. The food was excellent. The spa was relaxing. The best part was that we had something to do at the hotel at all times. While waiting for our next adventure, we were not just stuck waiting in our room. we visited with other guests, played games and relaxed in the many comfort areas in and around the hotel. A true resort.
We respect the history of the hotel but felt the hotel is in need of updating; there are only so many layers of paint that can be used.
It’s ok but the price is high.
Old world charm and atmosphere. Beautiful historic building, excellent location, wonderful staff, delicious food and great accommodations.
Beautiful historic old hotel nestled in the mountains.

I stayed here because I liked the thought of staying at a "haunted hotel." It's a nice location with places to hang out at during your stay. There are a lot of visitors in and out due to the history. There is only one vending area with not many options but there is a restaurant on site that stays open until 11. The beds were ok, but after staying more than two days my hips started to hurt. The parking is super easy though and they do have a shuttle that can take you downtown on demand. You can also take your own car there as there are many cheap options in the heart of town to park. The TV is small if that's something you enjoy but overall it was a good stay. We stayed 4 nights...you really only need 1 or 2 and then find somewhere cheaper and more convenient to downtown. The ghost tour was decent.
Wonderful stay for our 50th anniversary. Met up with our kids and grandkids. Plenty of activities for all ages. Shuttle service is great as everything is downhill from the hotel.
the setting and surrounding area is great, staff was friendly and helpful. the room was what i expected, could use a little more thought in amenities for that room such as taking out that huge armoire,(coudn't see TV), i would also recommend better pillows (ours was flat),
Shuttle service makes it convenient to everything. Beds were comfortable. Staff was amazing. Friendly, helpful, kind. Couldn’t ask to be treated any better.
Enjoyed our stay. Staff and service was great. Everyone was very friendly. The hotel is a great historical site, but could definitely benefit from some attention.
It sucked, the room
The smell in the elevator was horrible
We showed up late. My husband and i was on a motorcycle. We were wet and cold. Staff didn't even blink a eye. The entire staff was friendly and very helpful. They even offer us a meal even though it was short notice.
The hotel was built in 1886, so was all the furniture. Everything creeked and cracked, as well as every time you moved in the bed it made noise. I didn’t care for the experience. Way overpriced for the room conditions. The taxes and fees for 3 night stay was almost 300$, so that put us at about 500$ a night. You can visit the hotel without staying, that’s my recommendation. The balcony was the only saving grace as well as the restaurants were good.
The history. The whole place is beautiful, this is my 5th stay
Another wonderful stay with fantastic, attentive staff.
This hotel is lovely. The grounds are beautiful, service was great, and the hotel and rooms were charming.
The staff made sure we were taken care of
Step into the past..1886..beautifully kept property
