Cons:

House keeping had been in our room sometime in the morning while we were out. Around 2pm a staff member opened our door saw us inside and then closed it. Not sure why anyone would need to be in there again if housekeeping had already been in there.

Wow!
Pros:

This was my second stay at this property on business travel. Since my previous stay, the property has been completely renovated! It looks amazing! The renovation is complimented by an amazing staff who is friendly and kind! I am looking forward to my next visit!

Very comfortable and enjoyable experience
Pros:

We had an Annual Conference that rotates yearly between Montana, Wyoming, Nebraska, North & South Dakota, Minnesota, and Iowa.
This year's was held at the DoubleTree Hilton in Cedar Rapids, IA.
The experience we had Friday through Sunday was awesome. The hotel exceeded my expectations and they are always "high"!
Kudos to the hotel staff, convention center, and of course to the Hilton Chain!

Renovations
Pros:

Hotel is currently under renovation with no plan to keep a buffer between the construction and occupied rooms. The off gassing of new products is overwhelming. Plan on being woke up early.

Renovating rooms while selling adjacent rooms is not acceptable.
Pros:

This stay was deeply disappointing and reflects poor management judgment.

The hotel is undergoing active room renovations while simultaneously selling and occupying adjacent and overhead guest rooms, resulting in continuous construction noise beginning early in the morning — including on a Sunday. There was no advance warning at booking or check-in that this level of disruption would occur.

The service response compounded the problem. Rather than proactively managing the situation or isolating guests from renovation zones, the burden was placed on the guest to endure the noise or complain after the fact. This is not a service failure due to circumstance; it is a deliberate operational choice.

Renovating rooms next door and above occupied rooms would be comical if it weren’t so disruptive. Guests reasonably expect a hotel to provide a quiet, restful environment — particularly when paying full rates and staying under a major brand flag.

Until renovations are complete and handled responsibly, I would strongly recommend choosing another property. Although, honestly, I will never stay here again.
