Home Hotel Bryggen er et veldig fint hotell med en god beliggenhet.
Pros:

Jeg var veldig fornøyd med servicen på hotellet. Personalet var veldig hyggelige og overrasket meg med en liten oppmerksomhet i anledning bursdagen min, noe jeg satte stor pris på.

Cons:

Når det gjelder maten, var utvalget til frokost litt begrenset. Middagen falt heller ikke helt i smak for meg.

Hôtel correct mais séjours durant un mouvement de grève.
Pros:

Petit déjeuner très bon et beaucoup de choix
Hôtel très bien situé et calme
Très belle décoration dans les chambres et dans l’hôtel
Sauna disponible et plutôt sympa

Cons:

Nous sommes arrivé en pleine grève dans le secteur de l’hôtellerie dans le pays l’hôtel n’a pas pu assurer le dîner pourtant compris dans le prix c’est dommage car aucune communication n’a été faite par l’hôtel en amont de notre arrivé et nous avons été mis devant le fait accompli sans aucune alternative hormis devoir s’organiser et trouver des établissements autours.

Pas de ménage dans la chambre pendant 3 jours aussi il a fallu s’organiser un peu.

À plus de 650 euros pour 3 nuits le rapport qualité prix n’y était pas

À date d’aujourd’hui aucune compensation pour l’hôtel ne nous a été proposé et c’est regrettable.

Hotel Boutique em Bryggen
Pros:

Hotel estilo boutique, muito bem cuidado e decorado. Do lado da principal atração da cidade, Bryggen, de bons restaurantes. Café da manhã sortido e gostoso. Piso do banheiro com aquecimento.

Cons:

Achei tudo perfeito.

A classic hotel setup
Pros:

Good location, it’s a bit further away from sentrum than some others we stayed in, but close to the historic site and funicular

Cons:

Due to strikes light dinner wasn’t served. No breakfast before 8am on the Friday - we were offered a take away bag which we appreciate but was a shame as we booked it specially for the night pre-flight home for the light dinner and breakfast

Plenty of choice for breakfast. Would definitely go back. Reception desk so helpful. 😎

Cons:

There was a staff strike when we went and they didn’t serve dinner even though it was included in the price . They could have had a better price because of that and also they could have informed us prior to our arrival.

Unpredictably bad :(
Pros:

We had a very disappointing experience at Hotel Bryggen.

We specifically chose this hotel — and paid a higher price — because dinner was included. However, due to the ongoing national strike, dinner was not provided at all. What is unacceptable is not the strike itself, but the complete lack of communication and responsibility from the hotel.

The hotel clearly knew about the strike in advance, yet made no effort to inform guests. We could have cancelled our reservation almost until the last moment and chosen a more affordable alternative without dinner. Instead, we arrived and were simply told that the service we paid for would not be delivered — with zero compensation or even a basic alternative offered.

No attempt was made to provide a simple solution (such as a reduced menu, buffet, or partial refund). Guests are left entirely on their own, despite paying for a package that is not honored.

To make matters worse, the atmosphere around the hotel was impacted by the strike itself, with visible disruptions directly in front of the property. This only reinforced the feeling that the situation was poorly managed from a guest perspective.

It is hard to accept that guests who have saved and planned for a family holiday end up bearing the consequences of this situation, while the hotel shows no flexibility or care.

Overall, this experience feels highly unfair and significantly overpriced for what was actually delivered.
