Americas Best Value Inn and Suites Saint Charles

The room had stains on the ceiling, carpet, floors. Every piece of furniture looked like it came from the side of the road, broken, duck taped, terrible shape. The whole floor and room reaked of cigarette smoke. Walking into that room was like walking into a horror movie. Traumatized my whole family. We walked into the room, and instantly walked out and booked at the Hampton.

I paid for a room with jetted tub, it did not work at all. So they gave me another room with a jetted tub that only worked 5 mins. They wouldn't do anything to compensate the inconvenience. Both tubs the knobs were broken off. Someone else was in the lobby also complaining that their tv was broken. I stayed there last year and wasn't bad, they've really let the place go downhill.

The room stunk and didnt have a remote to tv. And the room was very dim. Breakfast was horrible and my key kept deactivating even though I didnt put it by any magnetic. The front desk was very slow at doing their job.

Things need updated and fixed.. l could smell smoke coming thru vent from other rooms.

The staff.....the rooms wasn't clean

Room smelled like dirty sock, door didn't have security lock like other hotels have, shower was slow, NO live Local channels, staff do not know how to make fresh coffee, bread/bagel/breakfast items were several days old and some bread slices were dry as if it was toasted and then restored, the only good thing is the location, and staff were OK.

Lots of damage to the building, rooms, floors, etc. the two rooms i rented both had staines on towels, bedding, curtains that almost looked like blood, mirror was damaged in one room, floor damaged in bathroom of the other, shower head squealed awful in our bathroom, bedside table/drawer was completely broken. Honestly the hot water, comfort ability of the bed was about the only thing good. Staff lady was sitting on the counter in the lobby with what appeared to be her boyfriend most the night which appeared very unprofessional to me.

The facilities need some maintenance attention. The elevator floor tile is damaged. The plants displayed around the lobby were dead/dying. The bathroom light was extremely dim - need either a new light fixture or brighter bulbs.

The room smelled of cigarette smoke and the key card kept losing it's information so I had to keep going back to the front desk to get it reprogrammed.

Got a room that advertised jetted tub but failed to mention doesn't work and by the looks of it hasn't worked in years. The TV worked but was on its last leg picture was so dark(tried adjusting settings) all you could see is the teeth on people. All furniture is very outdated probably from the 80's

Had broken lamp on/off switches. Cabnet door to the entertainment center where fridge was ,was broken an damaged hangin on barely on bottom. For family of 4 we have recieved 3 towels,2 wash clothes. One soap an shampoo. All decaffeinated coffee pods in room to coffee maker.

Waited 20 minutes for someone to check us in. Absolutely no staff anywhere to be found on the first level. Phone ringing constantly with no one answering it. Poor check-in service (no one available at the front desk during standard check-in time!). The elevator floor was cracked up, the toilet in our room leaked water from the tank when flushed, the cabinet on the sink was cracked and falling apart, the carpet was disgusting (stains), there was a smell of cigarette smoke in the hallway on a non-smoking floor, the towels were thin and so dry and worn out they were falling apart when my husband was drying himself off.
