Four things were outstanding. First, the location could not have been better: very short walking distance to restaurants, bars, and coffee shops. Second, the room had huge windows with amazing 5th floor views of the city. Third, the little restaurant downstairs had great coffee and a very good breakfast. Fourth, the price was very reasonable for the location.
The problem is that I had no access to TV or WiFi during my three-night stay. While there was a large-screen Tv in the room, there was no remote control so there was no way to use the TV. Compounding that problem is that there was really nobody to complain to. There is no "front desk." You check in using your phone and are given access codes and wi-fi passwords, but nobody seems to be in charge. I finally managed to find someone but they simply confirmed that they couldn't find the remote either. Nothing was done. The wi-fi password I was given by text did not work, either, so I had to use the internet with my own hotspot.
The room, while surrounded by huge windows with great views, was very spare. And it really needed a paint job. Basically, this place would be terrific if it had some management and some onsite personnel who actually take care of problems.
The uniqueness of the space with the loft sleeping area.
The bathroom had a foldable wall to serve as a door. Hard to work. The bathroom sink/toilet combo was odd.
Room and patio were clean
My patio door locking mechanism was broken and wouldn’t lock. The number of homeless encampments in the neighboring parking lots, alley, did not feel safe
Staff was great. Location was good.
The WiFi didn’t work. The staff sent 5 different access points and none worked. The TV was a WiFi TV so it didn’t work either. I had work to do so this was a disaster.
Comfortable and staff was very kind and hospitable.
I think it needs some upkeep. Needs fresh paint and could be a bit cleaner.
Nothing was located where it was need, for example no sink in the bathroom, had to use the kitchen sink. No electric outlets near the bed, etc.
I love this place! Secure, chic & clean.
Great spot if you want need to rest and small space,.better than most hotels.
Great experience in the middle of a lovely part of town. Space was exactly what I needed for my short stay, and was in excellent condition
It was interesting. Two lofts with two twin beds in one and a queen in the other. One twin bed was an actual mattress and the other was just a pad. The queen bed was very comfortable. The rooms are directly over a gas station (7-11). It really felt more like a hostel than a hotel. It served its purpose.
I regret that I only had 1 night to experience the service at this place. Everything was great, the room was clean, not too big but comfortable. Plus points for this place being close to downtown and the places I wanted to go. I will come back.
This hotel was perfect location in Hillcrest. The room was great… lots of windows and great views while in bed. Nice living space and kitchen… comfortable bed. The weird and disappointing thing was the bathroom which was a toilet and shower behind a black plywood partition… so sharing this room, you want to have a comfort level with your partner. But beautiful room for sure.. not sure if all the rooms are… and Vincent was awesome helping with check in and information.
