The hotel is okay for a short stay, but it's not worth the price.
Pros:

Staff is fine, and nothing except the river behind the hotel.

Cons:

The room felt unclean, with hair on the floor and bedsheets that didn't seem freshly changed. The toilet was positioned so awkwardly that one leg had to be crossed while sitting. The room faced the road, so traffic noise was noticeable throughout the night. Breakfast is below average, and instead of liquid handwash, only a small Nivea soap bar was provided, which barely lathered. The room also lacked proper lighting unless the curtains were left open. The hotel is far from downtown Ottawa, and the traffic makes the commute even worse. I would only recommend it if you're looking for a quiet stay by the river and don't plan to visit the city much. No complaints about staff they are OK.

Generali I loved the location of the hotel, loved the swimming pool, good parking spaces, the river
Pros:

The breakfast was acceptable however there was missing stuff (non-refilled) (one serving staff only)
e.i :Missing silvers, napkins, coffee, no fresh juices, no any kind of cheese ..etc.
In general I believe the breakfast was poor for a 4 star hotel facility.

Cons:

As I mentioned above only the breakfast, and no complimentary bottle of water in the room.

Pros:

We loved the location and the outside sitting area was very lovely

Cons:

There was only 1 person in the dining room and she was busy with a party in a separate area and forgot some of our order and wasn't tentive to the dining room. Also the bed frames the mattresses are on are terrible, the mattress kept sliding all over on the frame, they didn't fit the frames at all
