When back to ottawa I’ll stay at RAMADA
Upon first entering the room, there was the smell of old stale cigarettes...someone helped me with my bags and she smelled it also.
I called front desk to ask for a room exchange, however, there were no other rooms available on the main level, only 2nd floor, and since I walk with a cane, I had to stay in the room...they brought me a candle and some matches, but that didnt help at all.
Other than the awful smell, the room was clean, the bed comfortable and all else was good !

Have stayed in some awful hotels in my life. This is definitely in contention for the worst one.
Hotel claims to be near the airport. It isn’t.
Price is the exclusive lure, but even that was for more than one should expect to endure this hotel.
I arrived late and, let’s just say, the guy working the reception was not the employee of the month. He was just plane RUDE. He actually insulted me about my looks.
The room was crying out to be gutted. The carpetry was circa 1960 industrial grade material.
The bed was a bed in a technical sense in that a guest might mistake it for a place to sleep.
The vanity was designed for people under 5’6”
The shower head, while actually decent, offered only tepid or cold water.
The walls are paper thin.
At least the person at reception when I left was in the morning was new, friendly, and helpful.
She and the fact I wasn’t killed are the best thing that I could offer about this imposter of a hotel.
Beautiful location
Rooms are clean and very convenient location. Easy check in and out.
Breakfast is good and included, juice, coffee, eggs, sausage, pancakes, cereals.
Can even rent canoes in the summer.
Great hotel.
Un bel endroit, très propre, personnel accueillant et souriant. Nous avons eu une chambre qui donne sur la rivière, la vue était très belle pourtant c'était en hiver.
La chambre n'était pas très spacieuse, la clim/chauffage était en face d'un lit
