The room was spacious, clean, and well appointed. Breakfast great in variety and quality; we lingered in conversation.
The dining room and menu were unappealing for dinner.
The rooms were clean, the landscaping and parking were well maintained. Ron at the front desk was very helpful with my check in. The beds were wonderfully comfortable.
My room did not have a microwave and the hot tub was broken.
Cabana has a warm, welcoming atmosphere that makes it easy to recommend. The team works hard to create a positive experience, and their hospitality really stands out. The rooms are clean and comfortable, and the location is convenient for exploring the area or traveling for business. Overall, it's a place where the staff truly makes the difference.
The location, the price, the limited staff.
Not enough staff especially the pool area there was only one staff member to take beverage orders etc the guy was doing an excellent job but it was very hot for one person to handle beverages, towels etc in that heat. No one answered the phone for food and beverage orders etc.
This was by far the worst hotel experience we have ever had.
We stayed at this hotel for six nights while attending my brother's college graduation. This was supposed to be a special and memorable time for our family, but instead, we spent the entire stay dealing with one problem after another. Every day, we would leave the hotel to attend graduation events or help my son move out of his college dorm, and we would come back exhausted, hoping to rest. Instead, we kept walking into new issues in our hotel rooms.
The first room had many insects right outside the room. We informed the hotel and asked them to please have the insects removed because there was a very high chance they could enter our room. Nothing was done. As a result, the next evening when we came back to our room, it was infested with cockroaches, roaches, spiders, flies, and other insects. They were throughout the bathroom, throughout the bedroom, and even near the beds. At that point, we had no other choice but to be moved to another room.
The second room had a broken toilet flush. After a long and tiring day, we came back to the room only to realize that the toilet was not flushing. A working toilet is one of the most basic expectations in a hotel room. It should not be the guest’s responsibility to check whether a hotel room has a working toilet. The hotel sent workers to our room late at night, past midnight, to try to fix the toilet. They came into the room and worked on it, but they were still unable to fix the issue. Because of that, we had to move again, this time to a third room.
The third room was an ADA room meant for people with disabilities, and it was most likely the dirtiest room we stayed in. The bathroom had almost no space to place our toiletry bags or personal items. While my father was sleeping on the bed, the wallpaper actually came off the wall and on his head. The wallpaper literally ripped off the wall in the hotel room. Once again, we had to call the hotel late at night and ask for workers to come in and fix it. I have videos of workers applying glue to the wall, taping the wallpaper, and blow-drying it back into place.
The night before my son’s main commencement ceremony, we also discovered that the room had no shampoo. Earlier that morning, before leaving for the day, we asked the hotel to please refill the shampoo because it was empty. Instead of refilling it with shampoo, the person who came in filled it with conditioner, so we ended up with two bottles of conditioner and no shampoo. That night, after coming back tired from moving my son out of his dorm room, we called the front desk and explained that both bottles had conditioner. The front desk employee, Valencia, told us that unfortunately the hotel had no shampoo left.
We were shocked. This is a hotel that the manager told us has over 55,000 room nights each year, yet somehow they were saying they had no shampoo available. My father and I were about to leave the hotel past midnight to buy shampoo from a nearby CVS. Before leaving, we stopped by the front desk and asked one more time if they were sure there was no shampoo. Another person at the front desk then said they did have shampoo and handed us five small travel-size shampoo bottles.
We never imagined that we would have such a terrible experience during my son’s college graduation. We dealt with insects, an infested room, multiple room changes, a broken toilet, late-night maintenance workers, a dirty ADA room, wallpaper falling off the wall near my father’s head, and even a hotel claiming they had no shampoo the night before commencement.
This entire stay was stressful, frustrating, and completely unacceptable. I would never stay at this hotel again, and I would never recommend it to anyone. Please stay away from this hotel.
Very close to downtown Palo Alto
Parking can be difficult
The pool was amazing and the staff was more than courteous helping celebrate my friend's birthday.
Only one elevator worked but I know that's out of their control
