Highly disappointed in the upkeep and cleanliness of this place. Especially when they are charging almost $300/night
Pros:

Location was perfect for attending an event at the convention center.

Cons:

Room was filthy. Building over all was looks to be poorly kept. Paint peeling off the walls, rust showing through on metal door frames. Bath tub in our room was absolutely disgusting and did not drain. Mirror in bathroom had paint on it and was hanging crooked as can be. Wall repairs poorly done. It just over all looks like no body takes pride in their work or gives a shit about the place. We booked the room for 4. They knew there were 4 guest yet I still had to ask for sheets. Blanket and pillows for the pull out sofa my son and I were sleeping on. Then they only brought one pillow and the guy gave me an attitude when I asked for another and tried to say they didn’t have anymore. How the hell does a hotel of this size only have 1 extra pillow in the entire place? Absolute bullshit. At $289 for one night plus being forced to pay for valet parking I expected a much nicer cleaner place to stay. I’ve spent $120/night on comfort inns that were nicer and cleaner than this place.

Terrible
Pros:

This place sucks and is not close to a Hilton experience. Planned a pool day and major construction started and closed pool, restaurants and lobby. There was no notice just a surprise. Checked in they said would call, there was nothing until we came back and asked. Room service came in an took all the shampoo and body gel after 2 days and didn’t replace them. Don’t stay here keep looking.

Bartenders are on some BS
Pros:

Checked in today and went to the pool bar. We sat there for a good five minutes before anyone acknowledged us. And when we did order my drink was made in the back. Hmmm… The female bartender did not acknowledge us at all but as soon as someone that didn’t look like us came up “immediate” service. We are only here for the Hells Kitchen play NEVER AGAIN.

Nice hotel - somewhat dated
Pros:

We stayed at the Hotel Tampa Riverwalk in February over Valentine's Day weekend. First time at the hotel.

The hotel is nice, but not great. It was formerly a Sheraton (decals still on the deck door glass) and is a bit dated. Could use some sprucing up.

However, the room was clean and the staff was nice. It was crazy busy due to a wedding reception taking place, but they took care of us in spite of the chaos.

The view of the river was awesome.

The dining room left a lot to be desired. We had breakfast and ordered from the menu, and there was a buffet available. It was quite expensive, and there were not enough people working. Some people got up and left after waiting. I felt sorry for the servers, and would've been happy to refill my own coffee so they could spend more time actually attending the tables. The food was good, but what can you say about an omelet and toast?
