Kimpton George Hotel by IHG

This hotel is quirky but still classy. Centrally located, it’s great for work and fun. The hotel itself has so many unique art pieces throughout and complimentary amenities like a continental breakfast and welcome drinks that weren’t listed on the hotel details. I need to give a special shout out to Ahmed who’s personality at check-in set a wonderful first impression to my stay.

My first time staying at a Kimpton, and I was impressed! Everyone was very friendly and accommodating, and Ahmed did everything he could to make us feel welcome during our stay. The hotel was well kept and in a great location close to the Capitol building.

Dc kimpton was very hospitable. We had a couple hiccups from price line but they fixed it with out us having to do anything!!!!! Thank you so much for your hospitality!!

The location is close to the National Mall. My stay was very pleasant, the staff was friendly and accommodating.

We really enjoyed our short stay at the Kimpton George Hotel. The location was extremely convenient for our visit to Washington, DC. It's close to the Capitol and with easy access to the National Mall, White House area, and other attractions via public transit.

As an IHG One Rewards Diamond Elite member, we were fortunate to receive an upgrade to a very spacious suite. The extra space was especially appreciated while traveling with a child.

What really stood out, though, was the staff and service. Ahmed in particular was incredibly friendly and welcoming. He went out of his way to make our 7-year-old son’s stay fun and memorable, to the point where our son genuinely didn’t want to leave. Those kinds of personal touches make a big difference and turned a good hotel stay into a great one.

We would definitely recommend the Kimpton George Hotel and would happily stay there again on a future visit to DC.

The staff went out of their way to treat me like royalty and the whole place was absolutely spotless. Kimptons are always fantastic but this has been one of the best I have visited. Ahmed, Solomon, and everyone I met during my stay could not have been more accommodating, including giving me a great recommendation for lunch and being so willing to answer any questions, give recommendations, and generally just making me feel like a welcome guest. I could not have asked for a better experience and we will certainly be making a return visit!

Wonderful experience! All the staff were friendly, courteous and so professional. I have to give a special shout out to Ahmed. From the moment we checked in, he went out of his way to make us feel at home. He was so helpful and sweet. It was our anniversary and he made sure to get us wine and treats for a celebration. It was so appreciated. Thank you, Ahmed.

Wonderful staff, quiet, and comfortable, large rooms.

Overall, great experience! Solomon greeted us upon arrival and could not have been more pleasant and helpful with our luggage. Adam at the front desk was welcoming and efficient when checking us in. The room was spacious and clean. The only negative was that the shower situation wasn’t ideal. Very old, narrow tub and fixtures that were a little difficult to operate. Other than that, I would highly recommend this hotel! Excellent location in the heart of DC.

I was in DC on business and, as usual, stayed at the George Hotel. The highlight was the outstanding service from every person there. In particular, Ahmed was delightful and responsive. Highly recommend!

A special thank you to Ahmed from the Front Office team for being incredibly accommodating, friendly, and helpful throughout our stay. His warm hospitality made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived.

We stayed in Room 603 (from May 30 to june 1), which was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. The internet connection was also fast and reliable, which made our stay even more convenient.

We also enjoyed the complimentary grab-and-go breakfast. It was fresh, tasty, and perfect for guests who want a quick meal before heading out for the day.

Overall, we had a very pleasant experience and truly appreciated the excellent service and attention to detail. We would gladly stay here again and highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the area.
