NH Johannesburg Sandton Hotel

I have no complaints, thank you to everyone, from the kitchen to waiter to the front office to housekeeping I mean every NH Staff, I had a great experience that makes me want to come back.

I was served by Kutlwano hostes. The service was extremely excellent. She takes her time to assist clients.

Kutluono Mogotsi was an excellent help with a very good attitude and smile, explaining everything.

Room was excellent, and all staff interactions were very pleasant. We were made to feel special from the moment that we had arrived. They event went the extra mile and decorated our room for our 25th Wedding Anniversary to perfection. Special thanks to Madeli Mollentze and her team.

We had the pleasure of staying at NH Sandton for 19 nights, and from the moment we arrived, we felt genuinely welcomed. The hotel has a calm, comfortable atmosphere, the rooms are well maintained, the food was consistently excellent, and every member of the team made us feel like valued guests.

One of the things we appreciated most was the location. Being so close to Nelson Mandela Square and Sandton City made getting around incredibly easy. The complimentary shuttle service was outstanding. Not only would they take us to and from the mall, but if we got turned around or needed assistance, they encouraged us to call them. Nothing ever seemed like too much trouble, and that level of care really stood out.

The restaurant was another highlight. The food was delicious throughout our stay, with plenty of variety, and every meal was prepared with care.

The only suggestion I would make is around facilities for families with children. We travelled with young kids, and while everyone was incredibly welcoming to them, there aren’t many dedicated activities for children yet. The executive lounge would be even better with a selection of board games and family games, and the beautiful open lawn by the pool would be the perfect place for a small play gym or soccer goals. During winter, when the pool is too cold to swim, those additions would make a huge difference for families staying for longer periods, as we did.

Overall, this was a wonderful stay. The hospitality, attention to detail, excellent food, convenient location, and exceptional service made NH Sandton feel like a home away from home. We would happily stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Sandton.

A Tribute to the Staff

Our family stayed at NH Sandton for 19 days, and what made this stay truly unforgettable wasn’t just the beautiful hotel—it was the incredible people who work here.

Every single member of staff, from housekeeping and laundry to room service, in-room dining, reception, the restaurant team, and the shuttle drivers, treated us with genuine kindness every single day. There was never a moment where someone said, “That’s not my department.” Whoever we asked for help immediately stepped in and went above and beyond to assist us with a smile.

A special thank you to Noni, Mapule, Tuli, both Luyandas, Samke, Flora, Joyce, Dion, Ethan, and the wonderful lady at the fresh juice bar. You all made our family feel so welcome. After just a few days, the juice bar team already knew our favourite morning drinks before we even asked. That personal touch meant so much.

The restaurant team was exceptional. The food was outstanding every day, and the chef was incredibly accommodating. During our 19-night stay, if there wasn’t something on the buffet that I felt like eating, the chef would happily prepare something different. That level of flexibility and care is rare and deeply appreciated.

Travelling with our two-year-old daughter can sometimes make meals challenging, but your staff turned those moments into beautiful memories. Many of you would stop to chat with her, make her laugh, bring her little activities, or keep her entertained for a few minutes so I could enjoy my meal. Noni even brought her something to paint one day, which absolutely made her day. Those seemingly small acts of kindness meant the world to us as parents.

If I’ve unintentionally missed anyone’s name, please forgive me. I often wasn’t wearing my glasses at breakfast, so I couldn’t always read everyone’s name badges! But this review is for every single one of you. Every interaction was warm, professional, thoughtful, and genuinely caring.

Thank you for making us feel less like hotel guests and more like family. We arrived as visitors and left with grateful hearts because of the people who serve at NH Sandton. You are the reason we will return.
