Staff was great. I love the kickback gather and breakfast was delicious.
I liked it. The staff was pleasant when I came. There was a cheerleading convention going on in the staff was kind enough to warn me that it may be loud, but the kids really were not a bother. I loved the hot tub in the complementary drink that I received. It was my birthday weekend and I truly enjoyed myself.
If I did complain about anything, it was just the parking because of the construction they were doing on the parking lot, but other than that, that was minor.
First of all - the Marriott lost electricity just before a conference, so they rebooked us. I ended up at the Mecklen Hotel, across the street from the Drury Inn. I had a terrible experience there the first night, so checked out and came to the Drury.
Yes - this is an older property. They all are around here.
Front desk - very engaging and professional.
In terms of value - dinner, 2 drinks, a full breakfast and a soda machine and popcorn in the lobby 24/7 - wow. I've never seen so many amenities!
The room - it's nothing spectacular. But mine was absolutely spotless. An assortment of pillows to choose from. Hot water. Nice showers, good smelling products from the dispenser. Fast WiFi. Quiet. I slept great before a long day of meetings and driving.
I've never stayed at a Drury before, but I joined their club and think I'll give them a try again!
Drury Inn & Suites Charlotte University Place was AMAZING! Every single staff member that we came in contact with was friendly and smiling. Every inch of the hotel was impressively clean. And the best part was the FREE breakfast AND dinner AND 2 drinks from the bar! The pool was a little chilly for me, the kids didn't seem to mind, (Feb) but the hot tub was wonderful to relax in. Stay here, you wont be disappointed!

Like-new condition and excellent cleanliness. Pleasant modern design. Breakfast was slightly above average ( plates and metal flatware, not paper and plastic.) with the usual buffet selection you'd expect at a non-luxury hotel.
Minor noise from plumbing or elevator, but nothing that interfered with sleep. We would have preferred focused reading lights so one partner can sleep while the other reads. The small vanity has a single sink; double with a larger counter area would have elevated the experience

Helpful friendly staff in all areas. Clean room with all the needed amenities. Good dinner, great breakfast and 2 drinks at the bar too!
