Best part of our Cairns stay was coming back to this beautiful room each day. The sea view balcony room was superb
The view was wonderful from the seventh floor. The location was excellent so close to restaurants and the night market , harbour and swimming lagoon. Swimming towels were in the room. The bed was extremely comfortable and it was very quiet at night. Although an older unit it was freshly painted. Staff were friendly and helpful.
The curving knives were blunt and there was no dishwasher or grater in the kitchen

This was our 2nd time staying at royal harbour. We love the location and all the facilities. All staff were very helpful. Such easy access to everything on the esplanade and harbour
It would be nice to be able to book a guaranteed parking space, it was a struggle when getting in late to find a space
Location is prime and that was the best thing about the property
1. Sofa bed was of very poor quality
2. Rooms looked dated with plaster falling away from the ceiling
3. The lifts went out of order on the last day

When a complaint was put through, they were prompt to respond the next day and offer me a 25% discount.
It is okay that they did not have the dishwasher, but the dishes were only wiped down with a chucks and I could tell as there was dust all over the glasses. Also the coffee mugs had coffee stains on them. The cutlery drawer was full of crumbs
when I asked reception to borrow the mop I mopped twice and even when I wiped the tiles after two mopping with a towel the towel came out black. Totally unacceptable. Cleanliness should never be negotiable
Although the property was rated 4 star, It was very old and tired and the pictures in booking.com were very deceiving.

Very limited Kitchen equipment - had to go and buy more. Didn't get the room I requested. Cleanliness was not as good as in previous years
