2.politeness of staff —after I told them how dirty the apartment was.
When a complaint was put through, they were prompt to respond the next day and offer me a 25% discount.

Cons:

It is okay that they did not have the dishwasher, but the dishes were only wiped down with a chucks and I could tell as there was dust all over the glasses. Also the coffee mugs had coffee stains on them. The cutlery drawer was full of crumbs
when I asked reception to borrow the mop I mopped twice and even when I wiped the tiles after two mopping with a towel the towel came out black. Totally unacceptable. Cleanliness should never be negotiable
Although the property was rated 4 star, It was very old and tired and the pictures in booking.com were very deceiving.

Great stay, great location
Pros:

Location was great, great views over water , saw the Ironman runners, bonus to our stay! Great location for restaurants . We parked our car undercover and stayed there the whole stay and walked to Aquarium, shopping, restaurants, bus picked us up for Kuranda sky rail/train trip.

Cons:

Sofa bed was not great comfort for paying $500 per night! But rest of apartment was great.

Pros:

Great view, nice apartment very handy to lagoon, shops & eateries.

Cons:

Noisy out on the patio, but view makes up for it, you dont hear it with the doors closed.
