The room was a home like setting which was wonderful and uncommon which I liked.
The TV just needed an viewing adjustment for the brightness viewing of it.
Property was poorly maintained - upon arrival wasn't sure if we even wanted to check in. After seeing room we checked out and didn't even stay.
It was absolutely filthy
Nothing the bed was uncomfortable. The room smelled like c*** The toilet didn't work. The tub looked like something out of an abandoned house or a horror movie
Don’t spend your money here. This is not a place you would take kids to stay. There was a tent city on the back side of it. Half the residents at the hotel looked like long term residents and within the hour I was there I caught 2 of them eyeing up my stuff. Didn’t even stay the night as the air conditioner smelled like mold when I turned it on and it was 108deg outside and the room stunk so bad. Ended up camping at the koa instead of staying in this filthy motel. Don’t spend your money here.
The price was good but the room could have been better, no remote for the Tv. Refrigerator didn’t work, breakfast was advised but was not available.
This motel is a dive. It is an embarrassment that Booking. Com has it on their list. The foir lick had yo be fixed while I was there, I was voncerned my car would be broken inti overnight, I didn’t feel safe leaving anything in my room, the windows were not secure, the tv did not wk properly and there were teo power outages.
Nothing, it is too old and beyond repair.
Room was nice, but the property and location are
a bit seedy.
I made a last minute reservation and the staff were very accommodating and helpful. When I requested a ground level room they quickly prepared one!
The shower needs better flow.
Location!
Location was good
Not very clean - rubbish piled up in the parking area
The beds were comfy.
The hubby and I frequently pass through Great Falls. We decided to stay the night due to bad weather and dangerous roads. I'll be the first to admit that the Imperial Inn was not our first or even third choice, bit there was some kind of event in town that had other hotels booked up. We had a bad experience staying in the past, but after seeing reviews that said new ownership, we decided to give the Imperial one last chance. We were SO GLAD we did!
Just pulling into the parking lot, a person can see how much effort has gone into fixing this motel up with some TLC. There used to be so much drug traffic and filth even at first glance, but that's all gone! The motel is clean and quiet, there are cameras set up to watch the property, and even late at night on a Friday, we weren't disturbed.
There is a new couple managing the motel who are clean, professional, and friendly. They explained that the hotel had been purchased by a new owner just a few months prior, and both they and the owner were super dedicated to fixing the place up. Um, they're doing great! The rooms have been redone with new beds and furniture (we had a cute couch in our room, a microwave and fridge, and a clean coffee pot with plenty of coffee supplies). The television sets are also brand new, and they have a great TV package with HBO.
The male housekeeper was also friendly, and brought us an extra blanket that was clean, soft, and undamaged!
They unfortunately don't serve breakfast, but the managers were able to offer their opinions on local places to dine, and there is a Perkins literally across the street that is fantastic.
TL;DR version:
This motel has new ownership, management, rooms and attitude. 100% improvement, affordable rates, and a very pleasant experience. 10/10 will be staying again!
I booked this room on Expedia and chose it because we could use some of our Expedia points. I didn’t look at the reviews but for the price did not expect much. When we arrived the front desk man was very friendly and nice, and gave us a welcome bag. The room decor is pleasant. Unfortunately there were a lot of safely issues: We got to our room and the door has not been repaired after what looks like it has been kicked in. The door jam and door are cracked, the handle loose. No dead bolt in a very obvious high drug activity area. The door was repaired with plywood nailed to the inside. The windows don’t lock (there are locks on the bottom of the window but the window can be opened from the outside with little effort. There is also obvious drug activity going on here: dealing. It was a scary night feeling very unsafe.
My wife and I are travelling through Montana and decided to stay at small mom and pop motels. We stopped at the Imperial Inn for the night before flying out in the morning. Speaking with the Manager about past reviews he told me that this motel is under new management from June and that they are trying to improve it. The bed was nice and comfy and we slept well. I did not give them 5 stars because there was no breakfast. The manager assured me that they are working on it and will be available in the not too distant future. Well worth the money we paid.
We reserved a room on a Tuesday of a very busy week in Great Falls for Friday and Saturday night. On Friday when we were leaving our town around 430pm to drive down (approx 4 hours) we received a phone call from the hotel owner. She informed me she would be giving my room away and charging my card because she didn’t believe we were showing up. I asked her not to do that because we were on our way down. She continued to be rude but agreed not to charge my card until we got there. We showed up exactly 4 hours later and at that time the wife and the husband proceeded to accost us saying “You are lucky you even have a room!” And yelling about the time which we were arriving. It became apparent we did not want to stay there but the hotel owner was the one who told us he would not rent to us and kicked us out (we went rather easily, trust me!). We were left without a hotel room in a booked up town at 9 at night. I’ve never been treated so rudely by anybody in the service industry and I certainly don’t believe this is the first time they’ve treated people that way. I was also told by locals in the area that weekend that there has been a history of bed bugs... can’t confirm the truth in that but I can tell you with certainty they were incredibly rude and unprofessional. do NOT recommend staying there!!
My first mistake was not looking at the room. But we were in a pickle- since the first place we had reserved had given our rooms away- they sent us to the Imperial Inn. Absolutely nothing is Imperial about this dive. First clue was when the manager asked me for my pin number because his machine would not reach up to the counter. Dirty bath towels, light missing from bathroom, no garbage can or shampoos in bathroom, burn holes in the sheets. (non smoking) No security on the old sliding windows. Doorknob falling off. Crackheads everywhere, looking in your door etc.
