Hosts were brilliant
Desayunos estupendos y la ubicación excelente muy céntrico de todo
Nada...estaba todo correcto
We had a really lovely stay at El Olivar. The owners Alberto & Mika were welcoming and have got the balance just right between great service and giving guests privacy. Our room was spotlessly clean and breakfast was good (with plenty of choice.)
The hotel is located on a lovely little square at the top of Mojácar and we were able to park our car in the underground car park which was very convenient. We will definitely return!
La ubicación en el centro de Mojacar
Difícil subir con maletas grandes

We stayed at Boutique Hotel El Olivar in Mojacar Peublo 23rd to 25th March 2026. We were in room 1, which had a mountain view. The room was spacious and had everything you would need to enjoy your stay including a fridge, which was a nice addition. The bed was large and comfy and offered a good night's sleep after a day of sightseeing.
The hosts were lovely, very helpful and kind. Communication with them pre arrival and throughout our visit was clear, informative and helpful. We arrived slightly later than anticipated so had to self check in but this was very well explained and easy.
The hotel is in one of the beautiful squares in Mojacar Peublo with bars, restaurants and shops just a short stroll away. It's a great location to explore the town and further afield. There is a regular bus service from the town down to the Playa area, which is inexpensive. The beach area is also simply stunning with a beautiful promenade along the front with ample bars and restaurants.
Although right in the mix of things, we found our hotel to be peaceful and relaxing.
The hotel is beautiful mixing traditional with modern seamlessly. It has some great facilities, with access to the dining terrace and roof terrace throughout your stay. There is an honesty bar so after a long day exploring there is no better way than to enjoy the evening sunset over the mountains sat on one of the terraces with a glass of wine (or two).
We liked the choice provided for the continental breakfast but in particular the fresh coffee, served with croissants and homemade preserves especially the marmalade made from locally grown oranges.. It was lovely sat on the terrace watching the town coming alive on a new day below us.
We travelled to Mojacar by car and had no difficulty finding a car parking spot in one of the car parks in the town, which was free. It was then a short albeit uphill walk to the hotel. We found the town lift cut most of this out.
Beautiful breakfast served to order on a stunning outdoor area
Our room (9) was very small for a 4 night stay, fine for just 1/2 nights
Everything
Nothing
Fabulous host, gorgeous views, comfortable bed & delicious breakfast
Small milk pots instead of coffee creamer in rooms
We were delighted to find this little beauty in the corner of Mojacar Pueblo. Beautiful attention to all the quirky details, original decoration, very clean and everything you could wish for in a Spanish peublo hotel.
Communication pre-trip was timely and helpful, making self-check in seamless.
Staff were friendly, helpful and so polite. Breakfast was made to order and good quality. We loved the ‘Honesty Bar’ which felt like a gentle throwback to simpler times. Would totally recommend.
Nothing
Todo estuvo impecable: la atención de quienes trabajan allí, el parking, la habitación, el desayuno, los detalles.
Disfrutamos mucho. Lo recomendaremos y volveremos! Gracias por todo!

Everything about the hotel was great. From the warm welcome to the location, stunning views, home made breakfast items and the aroma of the place. I’m not sure what they’re using but it was like being in a spa.
I only booked for one night and stayed 3, It was that good. Room 8 has a great view over the square. Room 6 has stunning views from a balcony over the mountains and to catch the sunset. There is also a spectacular sun terrace to relax on with one of the drinks from the honesty bar.
I would definitely stay again.
Lovely hosts, great location. Good breakfast.
Bedroom walls not very sound proof. Especially when you have amorous neighbours 😚😊
