Great hotel, lovely room, very clean, spectacular views of the waterfront, you get use of their outside terrace where you can bring your own food/drink to enjoy. The attached Bacco cafe breakfasts were amazing.
We had mixed feelings about our stay at the Inn at the Market.
This was our first visit to Seattle, and we didn’t realize that staying next to Pike Place Market means being in the center of one of the city’s busiest tourist areas. The location is incredibly convenient, but guests looking for a quieter experience should know that cruise ship traffic and crowds can make the area feel lively and bustling.
We stayed for three nights, traveled elsewhere for a few days, and then returned for two more nights. Because we needed two beds, our room options were limited, but that wasn’t a problem. In fact, we preferred our first room (701), which was on a higher floor and away from the street. It was quiet and had a wonderful bathroom with a spacious walk-in shower.
Our second room (419) was a different experience. It was closer to the street and noticeably noisier. The bathtub shower controls were difficult to figure out—I nearly flooded the bathroom trying to use them—and the tub itself drained very slowly, leaving water pooling around my ankles while I showered.
At the same time, there was plumbing work taking place across the hall, with workers, equipment, and intermittent noise during our stay. While we understand that maintenance issues arise, the combination of the bathroom problems and the ongoing work made us wonder whether the room was ready for guests at that time.
Housekeeping was another area where our experience fell short of expectations. We were told to expect nightly turndown service, including refreshed coffee supplies, chocolates, and other small touches, but we found the service inconsistent and were often unsure whether it would occur. On more than one occasion, we contacted the front desk for clarification or assistance.
Because we otherwise enjoyed the hotel, I contacted management privately rather than posting a review right away. I shared our concerns about the construction noise, housekeeping issues, and a few smaller details, such as incorrect instructions for the in-room coffee machine.
What surprised me most was the response. Rather than simply acknowledging our experience, I was told that security camera footage had been reviewed and that hotel records indicated we had either received turndown service or displayed a “Do Not Disturb” sign.
I understand the hotel wanted to verify what happened, and a $150 credit was offered, which I appreciated. Even so, my recollection of the stay differed from the hotel’s records. I would have appreciated a more empathetic response and an acknowledgment that our experience did not match the level of service we had anticipated.
The highlight of our stay was undoubtedly La Campagne. We ate there three times, and every meal was heavenly. We also enjoyed the friendly front desk team.
Inn at the Market has plenty of charm. With a little more consistency and communication, it could be an even better experience.
I enjoyed this hotel was clean and customer service was spot on. Friendly and inviting. Great stay. Was quiet too!
We stayed here for 2 nights prior to our cruise. We were in Room 802 a fabulous room with dual aspect & great views out to the harbour. Quiet & spacious could not ask for more. Excellent for Pike Market & Cruise Terminal! The staff are terrific too! Highly recommend staying here!
Good location friendly staff really helpful
Needs more food options
Stay was amazing! Sleep was awesome! Bedding was super good!! We need to stay a bit longer. Hospitality for amazing!
The Bellman/Valet Miguel was so kind and professional keeping an eye out for my elderly special guests arriving at the Inn. He watched for them and went to them half a block away, warmly greeting them and helping with their car and luggage. Miguel made all the difference in their trip and their wonderful experience at the Inn at the Market. Thank you Miguel. Bravo.
Perfectly situated atop the Pike Place Public Market, we recommend you get a suite on the upper floors to take in all of the Market's activity as you also have a commanding view of Elliott Bay, the Ferry Boat traffic, the Big Wheel and Mt. Rainier. Recently refreshed and upgraded, we also like the new room layout and furnishings. Romantic and restful. So close to Watson Kennedy, Le Pichet, Le Panier, Maximilien and Cafe Campagne, among our favorite places in all of Seattle.
Very clean and convenient to everything
The Inn is amazing, location is the best and the staff is excellent. Sheer perfection, I would not change anything!
We stayed here the night before our cruise. The location was perfect to explore Pike Place Market and it was a short walk to the Space Needle and Chihuly Garden and Glass. The hotel was beautiful , the rooms were clean and the beds were comfortable. Every employee we interacted with was friendly, polite and helpful.
The best location possible in the heart of the city, with the thriving market at your doorstep and convenient to island ferries as well as the port.
Tucked into an unassuming alley/courtyard that offers an elegant sculpture garden space, the lobby surrounds you with charm, a cozy fireplace, a luxury-designed bell stand area, and a front desk. Right down to the charming old-fashioned bell ring when the elevator arrives... thoroughly modern but harkening back to yesteryear.
The rooms are luxury personified, two silky bathrobes hanging at the ready, a gorgeous bath, and fantastic views of the sound.
We traveled this time with a group of 4 (kids in tow), but the first time we visited was 29 years ago!!! It is even better now than it was back then.
The rooftop lookout is something you cannot skip. Watch the sun set over the sound and mountains in absolute luxury.
Great location. Staff was especially friendly and very helpful. Would highly recommend and would definitely book again.
My husband and I spent 2 nights at Inn at the Market in May of 2026. The front desk staff was friendly and courteous. The room was clean and comfortable. This Inn has a rooftop deck on the 5th floor that provides a panoramic view of Puget Sound so ferries and ships can be seen. The rooftop deck has a number of fire pits which are turned on every evening and they provide warmth while watching the sunset. We purchased food to go and enjoyed our meal with wine on the rooftop patio. When in Seattle, we will return to this Inn.
Just visited the Inn at the Market. It is a great hotel. Fantastic location. The ease with which you can go to the market, Le Panier for breakfast baked goods, the great Cafe Campagne are all real advantages. The hotel is well managed and everyone really wants to make your trip special and works hard to ensure you have a good time. The rooms are thoughtfully laid out. The furniture is beautiful. Very comfortable beds. Efficient housekeeping. Great rooftop deck. All in all a true 5 star hotel. Highly recommend!
Excellent experience from the time we got out of the cab, to checkout. The staff are all exceptional, the hotel is beyond welcoming and comfortable! The rooftop is fantastic as well! Loved it and looking forward to return and longer stay! Don't miss the shops and market dining options!
The Inn is perfectly located in the heart of the Pike Place market and beautifully appointed. Would definitely stay here again!
Lovely hotel. Attentive and helpful staff all around. Great location. Wonderful views from room and deck.
My daughter and I came to Seattle for a few days for a concert. The hotel was wonderful. We arrived early and knew our room wouldn't be ready, but our luggage was held and I got a call when the room was available. We were told about a "secret" entrance out to the street (1st) that is only accessible to hotel guests. This was a very handy was for us to get in the out. We had a two bedded room with a lovely view of Puget Sound. Would definitely stay here again.
