The hotel was very nice and our room was very spacious. Staff was nice and the hotel was walking distance to our event. However, I’m not sure why our tv was so slow or delayed that was the only downside to which we couldn’t fully enjoy the stay.
We (my wife, 2 college-aged sons, and me) were in town for a wedding and a good portion of the out-of-town guests stayed at this hotel. Like any big city downtown hotel, it wasn't cheap, but the location was good--near vibrant areas like Downtown Brooklyn and the DUMBO area..... You can relax outside in a public breezeway between the two hotel towers, which for me was a big plus. Also, there's a subway stop right behind the hotel...another big plus.....
We got a double room for 3 nights....and like other higher-end hotels we've stayed at, the beds were full size mattresses instead of true queen mattresses.... Why high-priced hotels choose to do this is a mystery to me since there was plenty of room to accommodate the bigger beds... So it was a tight fit for all of us, however, the room did have a couch, so it's possible to spread out a bit.... The beds themselves were comfortable, albeit a bit soft. The room was very nice. It had nice wall decor, a large TV, 2 fridges, room darkening curtains, nice and clean bathroom, ironing board and iron (we needed them!), a safe, and ample space to hang clothes.... Street noise was minimal. The lobby and common areas were very nice. The one drawback is the hotel doesn't have a pool anymore (i was told they closed it 3 years ago)......
The hotel charges a daily $30 "resort fee".... BUT, you can use it towards the cafe, which is located in the lobby area.... It's enough to cover, or almost cover, 2 take-out breakfasts.... So, it's not a total loss.
So, overall, it was a good stay and i would recommend this hotel.
Great location, large rooms, wonderful view, very friendly and helpful staff, nice choices for breakfast.
Small amenities e.g. Q-tips missing in bathroom!
Our room was furnished with one 20 long leather couch. Har and uncomfortable but no where else to sit. Exposed wire running down the wall.
Surprise $30 addon fee upon checkin
Excellent location, very friendly & helpful staff. I was traveling alone & felt very safe.
Need better lighting in bathrooms…too dim for putting on makeup.
Quick overnight stay for work in Brooklyn. Wasn't expecting much until Leonard in the M Club Lounge made our day with attentive and helpful service, a smile, and a good conversation. He's a gem!
Stayed here over Memorial Day weekend for a family wedding. It actually was a quiet respite from the hustle and crowds of Brooklyn. From the very first moments of arrival, being greeted by the helpful, friendly and smiling Nick at the entrance , I was amazed by the friendliness and service level of all the personnel. The reception staff, led the days I was there, by Lydia, were warm on a personal level so that I felt welcomed and appreciated. Every service from the bellmen coping with my copious amounts of luggage to the housekeeping staff, were professional, prompt and courteous.
The reception area is spacious and open with plenty of seating. The room was modern, clean and comfortable with lots of space to store all my belongings and great attention to detail.
While there is no breakfast made to order , the pantry with the specialty coffee bar had fresh and tasty offerings for breakfast, lunch and snacks. I had dinner at the restaurant one night after a long day and the food was outstanding.
Location wise pretty convenient, room size good, we stayed at higher lfloor facing Main Street and views are good
AC not working. Even we called maintenance and they tried to fix few times but still not running well. hotel did offer to switch room for us. But we don’t want repack and stuff so
