Quiet Gem Near the Strip, My New Go‑To in Vegas
Pros:

Las Vegas Marriott because it’s officially my favorite Marriott property in the city now. I wasn’t in town for casinos or the Strip, I was visiting family for the holidays and this spot ended up being perfect. It’s central without being chaotic. You’re not far from the north end of the Strip if you do want to walk over, and the Convention Center is literally across the street, so it’s ideal for anyone attending events there.

The staff was amazing across the board, genuinely friendly and helpful. Parking was fine, but if you’re driving a long vehicle, be warned: there’s a tight turn coming out of the garage that might test your patience. My room was extremely comfortable, and I felt relaxed the moment I walked in. Great value for what you get, especially in Vegas. And the restaurant? Surprisingly delicious.

Overall, this place is a quiet, reliable, comfortable alternative to the Strip madness. I’m definitely coming back.

View of the Sphere
Pros:

Reliable Marriott, particularly for the convention center. Some rooms have views of the Sphere - it’s like 24/7 entertainment with ads of the current and upcoming shows and some other rotating images. In lieu of normal breakfast offer, elites could just order off the menu during our stay and they had options that you would find something. Staff here are pleasant and friendly - front desk staff will greet you in/out and restaurant staff share their thoughts on the menu and things to do when the restaurant is more quiet.

Room was clean and quiet.

Tacos El Gordo is literally just down the road so you can walk there. On the walk, there is a patch that isn’t built up so you can also see the Sphere from there.

Pros:

The lady at the front desk with the blonde hair who checked me in was very pleasant and friendly! I really liked the room size, layout, and the bathroom.

Cons:

When I was trying to get in at night the front sliding door was locked and I was struggling to get it to open with my keycard. The man inside at the front desk saw me struggling and didn’t even offer to help me, even though he wasn’t busy. He literally just watched me struggle.

Pros:

I typed in the dust when I arrived “please clean me”. It is one thing to have a room where you do that but it is another level of problem when every day for 3 days they came in to clean the room and missed the words “please clean me” on the dust. This is not the standard of a Marriott.

Great as Always!
Pros:

We stay here when traveling to and from St George, Utah. Went during renovations but did not bother us at all. Friendly staff. This hotel also has NO resort fee! Hopefully the rest of Las Vegas decides to get rid of those fees too. There is a $25/day fee for parking but I do see online that that some rates include parking. Join Marriott Bonvoy to get best pricing. We did not bother renting a car. Preferred to take Lyft.

We saw new mattresses being delivered during our stay. Our room was great as usual. We love staying here because it is quiet and off from the strip and NO casino or smoking so air is fresh :-) Did not use the pool or fitness center so can't comment on those. Front desk provided complimentary bottled water. It was 95 outside and loved every bit of the heat!

WOW was the new (to us not sure how long it's been there) Sagebrush American Public House Restaurant great. Ordered room service twice. Loved the Korean Style Chicken wings. Enjoyed it so much the first night that we just ordered 2 orders the second time! Also had New York Strip Steak, Golden Greens Salad and Short Rib Quesadilla.

We used Lyft from airport and to get to the Sphere with no difficulties. Had monorail tickets but too much far walking from station thru casinos to get anywhere. Just buy a one day ticket to check it out.

Helpful engineering staff that were able to connect my Roku to the tv! Don't travel without it as not a fan of satellite tv. Have always had nice mattresses (even before the new ones arrived). No microwave in room but a small fridge. Microwave located on 7th floor if you really need one :-)

Of note, there is a a lovely Siegel's Bagelmania deli restaurant that also has a Pinkbox Donut shop in it just 2/10 of a mile from hotel, followed by Walgreens 2/10 of a mile from Bagelmania and Denny's Restaurant around the corner from Walgreens. I walked it quite easily on flat ground. On same street as Marriott. Multiple Marriott properties within walking distance nearby but we always stay here. Thee is also a Piero's Italian Cuisine Restaurant next door to this hotel but have never eaten there.

Sole purpose this trip was to see Wizard of Oz movie at the Sphere (FABULOUS) as St. George was much too hot to go see the Wizard of Oz play outdoors at the Tuacahn Theater. We will come back to the Sphere again for Wizard of Oz before it ends in March 2026.

Avoid until renovations are done
Pros:

The hotel is undergoing renovations and there are no days off. Construction is Sunday to Sunday from 8 am to 6 pm. So, you can hear the construction. Avoid higher level floors like 7, unless you want woken up to drilling and hammering.
