INTERNATIONAL TOURISTS WARNING! BEWARE! STAY AWAY!
Manager Felicia Foster is a BIGOT!
PREJUDICE and DISCRIMINATION!
YOUR TRAVEL PERMIT IS AT RISK!
Manager Felicia Foster accused me of being homeless and told me to leave, called the police and had a criminal trespass order issued, -all this, BEFORE HELLO! A criminal no trespass order is a history of criminal activity jeopardizing future admission.
Manager Felicia Foster Boastfully slanders guests character at the front desk for all to see. This hostile display of inappropriate abuse of power, creates a toxic environment for both the guests and staff. The disrespect that I've been subjected to, both by this manager and customer service, is truly remarkable. Repeated attempts of making claims with customer service have resulted in waiting for weeks with only one return call. Senior management is not offering any resolution.
And, the hotel itself kinda sucks too.
Booked through Super.com, Couldn't get enough room keys because the key coder was malfunctioning and there was only a handful of keys to choose from. No pool or jacuzzi as advertised. The floors were, well let's just say it was better to leave your shoes on. The pet station was both void of bags and trash, which would suggest that if they don't put bags, there is no need to service the trash.
P.S.
This is for customer service, prior to your reply to my review. It's going to take an awful lot for me to edit, just saying... the room was booked under my partner, and secured by me, but I'm sure if you call the manager Felicia Foster, she'll be able to enlighten you. Good luck with that!
To be in the hospitality and service industry, in a city that is seeing record decline in tourism, you'd think that executives would be monitoring situations like this more closely. Perhaps installing a manager who is more effective in customer relations, and is not blinded by personal opinion
This place is the worst we ever been to. If I can rate a 0 I would give it to. This place should be close because not only it is dirty but it is infested by a cockroaches. We found a cockroach crawling to my mother’s feet. We reported it to front desk and was even scared to see it. They couldn’t even do anything as we ask to take care of it. We asked to move us to a much better room but they did not have available they say. We had two rooms but the beds are not even comfortable to sleep on with two kids. We found trash inside the kitchen sink left over by other people previously stayed there. Also, on the other room we had no phone lines to reach the front desk. The kids asked for a roll away bed because they don’t want to be in the bedsheets but there is none available . Furthermore upon asking for extra blankets and pillows the front desk said they haven’t wash and none was available. Usually I don’t have a problem booking a hotel but this is far the worst we have stayed and booked!
I’m so disgusted about the dirty floor and kitchen with the room with cockroaches
The first room had a broken mirror, and broken drawers. We requested a room change and the second room had a bad smell of humidity, towels were dirty and stained and the fridge was broken. I had to leave the next day and I wasn't given a refund not even for my unused nights
Nothing. I left once and I checked in and saw how bad the hotel was. I called bookings.com immediately and they would'nt refund the room rate of $100! I no longer trust bookings.com.
It felt unsafe as unhoused people were living in the hotel and hanging out front. The reception asked what my purpose of staying at the hotel was. Weird! I was going to a funeral. The whole place smelt badly of cigarette smoke and marijuana smoke. The carpets in the elevator and hall were filthy and had what looked like burn holes. The rooms are renovated but the smell was still horrible and from the room you can still hear the sound of music and the TV coming from people's rooms who live there.
The bed was comfortable. That’s it
Everything. The staff were rude and lazy. The only breakfast they offered was a granola bar!!!! No coffee or anything like that. The vending machines are over priced, $4 for a drink. I asked for dishes the first day and didn’t receive them until day 3. I never received housekeeping or a change of towels. Nobody came to remove my trash. The WiFi kept disconnecting. Paid $1.99 and it still didn’t work. Overall my experience was terrible and I will never return to this property.
Refrigerator
Almost everything it was dusty, running water , old furniture, no coffee, The key card did not work well , It smelled like smoke even though it's a non smoking establishment . The night clerk was rude . Very unhappy
I stayed here for one night this past weekend.
We were already off to a bad start when I went into the room and the kitchen light didn’t work. I reported that to the front desk person, Hayden, who noted it but said there was nothing he could do due to no maintenance being available and no other rooms being available.
Later that night, I tried to shower and pulled the thing on the spout that switched the water from the spout to the shower head. Unfortunately, as you can see in the video, the spout would come off the wall and water would start spraying out of the hole. When I reported this to the front desk person, Tony, he said the same thing as Hayden that he would note it but there was nothing that he could do.
I had an important event the next day, so this became not only an inconvenience but also a hindrance to my ability to successfully show up to my event to the best of my ability. Not only that, this violates multiple codes:
- California Building Code / California Plumbing Code (Title 24) – which requires plumbing systems to be properly installed and maintained in working order.
- California Health and Safety Code requirements for adequate potable and hot water and sanitary facilities.
- Applicable Los Angeles County Environmental Health standards governing sanitation and plumbing in hotels and lodging facilities.
I reached out to the general manager, Falicia Foster, about a refund, but she has stated in writing she will not be issuing one. At this point, unless a refund is issued in a timely manner, I plan to pursue recovery through Los Angeles County Small Claims Court for breach of contract under California law and failure to provide services as represented, because I paid for this stay and received materially deficient accommodations. I also plan to file a formal complaint with Los Angeles County Department of Public Health and the City of Torrance Code Enforcement Division.
