Extended Stay America Suites - Portland - Vancouver

The staff was excellent and always went above and beyond what was asked. The manager, Cameron, works extremely hard and a lot of hours covering for his staff when they are sick. He always goes out of his way to make sure I was happy with what I needed or made sure to explain anything to where I understood everything I needed to know. I would definitely recommend others to stay here any chance they get.

A Serious Concern Regarding Extended Stay America – Vancouver, WA

I stayed at Extended Stay America in Vancouver, WA for approximately six months while conducting business in the area. During that time, I had the opportunity to see both the strengths and weaknesses of this property.

First, I want to recognize the staff. The employees were hardworking, respectful, and did their best to provide good service. The problem is not the front-line staff — the issue is the management and overall business approach.

Management appears to prioritize only large corporate accounts while failing to recognize the value of local businesses, long-term guests, and customers who consistently pay their obligations. A successful extended-stay property should build relationships with the entire business community, not just cater to a select few companies.

The property itself needs a major uplift and investment. For a location that serves extended-stay guests, safety and security should be a top priority. Unfortunately, the current environment does not feel like a place designed with families or long-term residents in mind. The lack of visible security and attention to the overall condition of the property creates concerns for guests who are staying weeks or months at a time.

Extended Stay America has a great opportunity in Vancouver, but it requires stronger leadership, better community engagement, improved security, and a renewed commitment to customer experience. Supporting local businesses and treating reliable paying guests as valuable partners would go a long way toward improving this location.

The staff deserves credit, but management needs to step up and bring this property to the standard that guests expect.

Conveniently close to shopping plazas.
Rooms are great with the kitchenette.
You can hear neighboors but that's to be expected. Friendly staff. Simple morning breakfast ( coffee, breakfast for on-the-go, oatmeals).
Cleanliness in room is fine. Too many cigarette butts in the front.
Value for rooms are reasonable.
Atmosphere is fine, you hear rowdiness when people come back from work and such else.

Overall, I'm thankful for extended stays like this one.

Very close to almost everything

I’m going to miss this place very much! The staff is amazing! They are kind , helpful and are extremely patient. I seen people that just ripped them apart for things that had nothing to do with the hotel and after have a smile for the next guest! I don’t think I could do that and over the very very long stay I’ve seen each one capable of it, it’s crazy. I loved my room , the kitchen feels separate from the main room which is exactly what you want in just one room. And being able to cook all of my meals saved us so much money! They are also very affordable, summers are expensive no matter where you go but this one has been less in every season. When you’re having a hard day and I go downstairs and when that elevator opens there is always someone there, smiling. They will always ask if there is anything they can do and I know they are busy hard workers but even that doesn’t stop them from asking and trying to make your stay the best it could be. I have to mention a few staff that have really stand out. It’s hard because we love them all! But the manager Cameron is so kind and really cares about everyone here, seeing a boss being as kind as he is to his staff completely consistently was pretty amazing. He will go a extra mile if you need anything. And Q, I’m not even going to try to spell her name is I think the newest one and she can make you smile when your having a bad day and man she works so hard! They all do honestly!!! Shandel is a rock star! Reliable, kind and has the patience of a saint! Again some guests aren’t good, but down right mean! And I’ve seen her keep her cool keep a smile and continue to work really hard. They care about us guests, and I’ve never seen any group as great as they are. I just have one more thing to say about them, they will literally stop eating or taking a break for a guest! That is nuts to me! They just roll with what is in front of them. Thank you to everyone at this hotel, you have made my day amazing and I miss you all so much🩷

Arrived for a work trip and Ms. Niki was very nice and helpful with getting me settled in. She made me feel very welcomed!!!

Great location everything is within walking distance food bars etc!! Front desk receptionist Shandel friendly, genuine, always available and willing to help!! Nikki is an awesome receptionist as well always happy and very nice to customers!! Housekeepers also do a great job they are timely and efficient

Since Niki has been at this establishment, she has shown compassion, dedication, integrity. Niki goes above and beyond when there is a need. I can always expect a call back promptly with a demonstration of kindness and thoughtfulness.

Niki, some days I am tired and just aching after leaving work. However, all it takes is an assuring smile upon your face! This compliment is well deserved for such a great person!

The young lady behind the desk was amazing. Very professional and friendly and nice, went out of her way to be accommodating and helpful.
