Great location
Pros:

Stayed with my daughter, check in staff very friendly, had a ground floor room, very clean maybe a little dated, but not an issue.
Breakfast buffet was fabulous, so much choice, food hot and appetising, staff again very friendly.
It was very cold for a couple of days, but room was lovely and warm, and nice fire in the lounge. Overall a lovely experience thankyou

Disappointing and dated
Pros:

Very disappointing and tired hotel. We booked a room overlooking the lake but unfortunately they gave us a room on the ground floor. The outside area was very small with just two chairs and completely open to the main public areas. Lots of people walking past so had to keep curtains closed and noisy at night. The room was very small and dark. All the furniture/lighting was very dated and not enough hanging space/storage. Small bathroom with shower over bath and shower curtain! No extractor fan or mirror demister. The bath was chipped. Breakfast was ok and main communal areas are fine. Service at the bar was very slow. The one positive is its location which is within walking distance of all the shops, bars, restaurants and the Gondola. Valet parking is expensive. The hotel requires a comprehensive renovation. The waiting/reception staff were all very welcoming and helpful.
