Good location and lovely staff

Cons:

The price for the rooms are way too much. We had a level 1 room with average views. For that price I expected a room on a higher level with nice views of the mountains. I booked for another night at the end of the week and if I hadn’t already paid for it I would be cancelling and booking elsewhere.

Overall a good experience.
Pros:

Overall a good experience, hotel concierge parking worked well, the room was OK, although the advertised lake and mountain views for which we paid extra, were very disappointing. Room 603 mostly viewed a side street, with sideways glimpses of lake and mountains. Hotel needs to clarify this prior to booking. Breakfast was very good, with a panorama of the mountains exceptional. A special mention of receptionist HASI, who was a real stand out. Her friendliness and helpfulness in booking an excursion and printing our boarding passes were very much appreciated by us. Crown Plaza, you’ve got a gem of an employee here. She’s a keeper.

Great location but pricey
Pros:

The room was very clean. The hotel is "U" shaped with the front row of rooms (ie lake view) facing the water and the back row (ie mountain view) blocked by the front row so all you can see is the mountains above the top floor of the front row. Breakfast buffet offers numerous choices but if you get there after the sun has come up, you better bring your sunglasses as it is very bright as there are no shades on the floor to ceiling windows. The elevator only goes to the 6th floor. The 7th floor rooms require going to the 6th floor, walking a short distance and then climbing stairs. There are many better options for dinner at nearby restaurants within 5-10 minute walk.

위치는 좋았음. 체크인 데스크 직원은 친절함. 조식 식당입구 안내직원은 무뚝뚝 했음. 방 청소해주신 직원분께는 대단히 감사드림.

Cons:

마운틴뷰 발코니 룸이라고 해서 예약을 했는데, 5층이었지만 경사지 맨 안쪽 오르막 도로 옆에 나무를 식재해서 도로가 보이지 않도록 막아 놓은 정도, 발코니에 서서 옆으로 90도 고개를 돌리면 겨우 호수와 산이 일부 보이지만, 발코니 의자에 앉으면 흙과 시야 가리기를 위해 심으 놓은 나무 밖에 안 보임. 간혹 나무 사이로 오르막을 오르는 차들도 보임. 특별한 기념일을 위해 준비한 여행으로 4~5개월 전 부터 부킹닷컴을 이용해 예약을했는데, 이 정도 방 배정 밖에 안된다니 실망임. 지금까지 부킹닷컴을 이용해 여행을 준비해왔는데, 앞으로는 다른 방법을 찾아야할 듯함. 참고로 설레임을 갖고 어렵게 퀸스타운까지 찾아오는 방문객들을 위해, 그리고 기꺼이 높은 비용을 지불하고 브랜드 호텔을 찾는 고객들이 그런 방인줄 미리 알았으면 다른 곳을 찾았을거임. 그런 방은 운영하지 않는게 오히려 호텔 격조와 명성을 높이는 방안일 것임.
