A good sized room with a a massive bathroom.
The bed wasn't all that comfortable and found there was no basic cutlery or plates in the room.
The property is clean and very welcoming, all front of house staff fabulous and professional, very easy booking in process, our accommodation was beautiful, clean and the beds very comfortable, highly recommend this hotel, great value for money and the breakfast was outstanding, everything you could wish for was their.
The evening meal was awful, mine was tasteless and the husbands wasn’t cooked properly very disappointed but easily dealt with by food and beverage manager who corrected our bill and then we went out to find another restaurant.
We stayed for two nights in July while attending a conference and came away pleasantly surprised by just how lovely the hotel was.
We were fortunate enough to be given a room on a high floor, with sweeping views out over the ocean and Surfers Paradise. The king room was generously sized and the bed genuinely comfortable. The bathroom, complete with a corner tub, was spacious too - a touch dated in places, but it did the job perfectly well.
Breakfast at Relish downstairs was excellent, offering plenty of variety across both hot and cold selections, and the barista coffees at the lobby bar were a welcome touch each morning. The real highlight, though, was lunch at Horizon Sky Dining - a top-rated, revolving restaurant that delivered a fabulous full buffet, outstanding seafood and, naturally, breathtaking views to match.
The team at the front desk were wonderful - warm, attentive and unfailingly friendly. At one point I watched them handle a complaint from another guest regarding their booked package, and they remained composed and professional throughout, defusing the situation with real grace. It was disappointing to see a guest treat staff so poorly, but it only highlighted how well the team conducted themselves under pressure.
We didn't get the chance to use the pool or other facilities on this occasion, but overall we were thoroughly impressed. As first-time guests, we found the hotel well priced, family-friendly and thoroughly enjoyable from start to finish.
Beds were super comfy and the room and bathromm were very generous
The TV/Foxtel reception was poor
Concierge Staff were friendly and helpful.
The water pressure in the bath room shower was fantastic.
Parking was secure (but expensive)
The whole place was tired and worn out. Wallpaper was peeling in common areas, carpets threadbare.
The room had no mininbar, the TV was absolutely prehistoric with no smart function and a terrible picture. I couldnt connect to any wifi so used through my mobile. The bedroom balcony door was failing and tricky to slide it open (and noisy doing so). There were only a few sachets of instant coffee available. The room was tidied during the day, but the cleaner left a waste take out food bag which was obviously waste. Parking was expensive and I would have expected it to be included in the room rate,.Room was clean
Rooms were basic but clean and comfortable, with tram stop right out the front making it easy to get wherever you needed to be in a matter of minutes.
Elevators were slow, seemes to always be a wait. Extra $25 per night parking not able to be added on to the room and had to be purchsed seperately through QR Code using phone. However most dissapointing was that the balcony did not have any furniture or seating (despite what was advertised in pictures) so unable to really enjoy the balcony or views which is usually a big part of a GC holiday!
They gave us a free upgrade for our room on the 22nd floor. Check in was super easy and quick and there was plenty of parking.
The curtains had some odd stains on them.
Nice convenient place to stay
