Nothing
Nice enough but overrated
A unique hotel that should be credited for commitment to the crocodile theme! Entering reception through the croc's mouth was a delight. Our room was clean and functional, a little basic (shower over bath for example). The common facilities were good, the restaurant was also good. Gift shop and art shop on site. Cultural centre about 2km away. Local hotspots were closed for the season during our visit.
The beer at the bar was very expensive - $19 for a pint. The surrounding town didn't seem to offer much for visitors.
Friendly staff. Nice pool.
Room a bit dated. Could be cleaner - including clearing breakfast dishes from previous guests. Quite expensive.
Interesting building full of beautiful artworks
No
Staff friendly and helpful. Room was spacious. Very large comfortable bed.
All good really
Location was central to the activities that we planned.
Front desk staff were approachable and friendly.
The gift shop, foyer and restaurant were well presented.
The restauraunt/bar staff presented a bottle of sparkling wine for our enagement that day.
The Crocodile Spring Rolls were nice.
The Steak was nice but not hot.
The Salmon was dry after sitting because of the entree mains mix up.
There was large population of Blow Flies near the entrance of our room that swarmed in when we opened the door and there were lots of dead Blow Flies in the window/door tracks.
Ther exterior of our sliding glas doors was very dirty and the grounds were not well kept. The edges of the lawns had not been trimmed and there were grass clippings sprayed and stuck to the glass doors.
The bathroom shower is outdated.
The laundry facilities were absolutely filthy.
The courtyard gardens were not well kept - weeds in the garden beds, plants require pruning, leaves need to be cleaned up, gravel/rocks from garden beds need to be cleaned up.
Pavers were covered in mould and need high pressure cleaning.
The menu options were limited with many options not available on the night when we used the restaraunt. There was a communications challenge with the waiting staff as Australian was not their first language - the wrong drinks were delivered and our entree was not placed and brought out to our table before our mains.
When they took our mains meals back because our entree had not been delivered we suspect the meals were put in/under a warmer and when they were re-delivered they were not as fresh as we expected and the Salmon order was dry.
The batteries for the Fan/Light and TV remotes were flat and required replacement.
Ceiling Fan blades were very dusty.
The walls around the motel have been painted with a red ochre and is very grubby.
Our vehicle was broken into on the last night of our stay ... fortunately nothing was stolen. I suspect that elements of the local indigenous population were checking my vehicle refrigerator for alcohol.
We were celebrating our recent engagement after a proposal in a Helicopter over JIm Jim Falls. With the hype that is associated with this iconic motel in a world heritage NP the facilitty was disappointing.
Great restaurant, pool great, staff we’re brilliant
