10/10 stay in Savannah.
Pros:

We absolutely loved our stay at the historic River Street Inn. Not only was the hotel absolutely beautiful, clean, and quiet, the staff was a pleasure to interact with. One staff member who really made our stay memorable was Lamont the valet. From the moment we arrived, he was incredibly helpful with our luggage, getting everything to our room and making us feel welcome. As a local, he also shared great recommendations for places to eat and things to do around Savannah. Lamont was kind, patient, and always greeted us with a warm smile. He truly made our stay even more memorable!

A great place to stay!
Pros:

This was my second time to stay here, both times in a room with a river view but not a balcony. I love the location, the staff is warm and welcoming and very attentive to your needs, it's close to good restaurants and all the river shops, and the manager's reception is a great place to meet your fellow guests. Have made some wonderful friends there who I hope to see again! There were a couple of things in my room that didn't work but were immediately corrected. Great service! Can't wait to go back.

Beautiful place, excellent location, lots of sneaky charges
Pros:

We spent two nights at River Street Inn in June 2026. LOCATION cannot be beat -- middle of the historic district, well-lighted and safe, many restaurants and shops within walking distance. The 4-star boutique hotel is built on a steep hill between River Street and Bay Street, allowing river access through the first floor doors and street access through the several 4th floor doors. We enjoyed the historic building and talked about how they must've brought cotton in "back in the day". BEAUTIFUL ROOMS -- comfortable size, lovely furniture, comfortable mattresses and luxurious linens. Includes a very small refrigerator and a Kerig coffee machine but no microwave. Small closet and a very nice coat /purse shelf. No desk. Large TV on the breakfront dresser. The room was clean in the obvious places, but I saw significant dust bunnies under the bed and a light layer of dust on the "small shelf" behind the floor lamp, where I plugged in my computer. We were placed in the West Wing 5th floor -- if I stayed again, I would refuse this location: It's an addition, so we had to go through the lobby, past the grand staircase, then down a hall /past a shop, turn onto another hall, up a ramp, then into a bitty hall to access the elevator from 4th floor to 5th floor -- in a fire, everyone in that area would be a nightmare. 4th floor in this same addition wouldn't be bad, but I'd rather have been placed in the main hotel. The BATHROOM was large and comfortable -- walk-in shower /no tub -- nice toiletries and towels. A few cracked tiles, which I don't expect at this price point. Good water pressure, plenty of burning hot water in the shower -- a rainforest head and a hand-held wand. We were on the front side /street side of the hotel, and we particularly loved the view, though it was loud at night -- I suspect the river side would be quieter. The hotel does not offer a pool or a hot tub. The hotel offers a small-but-adequate workout room; I never saw anyone using it. River Street Inn offers a (no extra cost) MANAGER'S RECEPTION each evening from 4:00-7:00 with chartucerie-type snacks and beer /wine -- they offer the option of indoor or outdoor seating, and the event was well attended /lively each evening. They offer popcorn, candy and fruit punch in the lobby during this same time period; I'm not sure who is the target audience, as this isn't a child-friendly hotel. Starting at 6:00 am, the lobby offers COFFEE as well as tea and hot chocolate. They give a $10 /day credit towards breakfast -- this is per room, not per guest -- in their on-site restaurant The Broken Keel; this will buy you about 2/3 of an omelet, so we opted to breakfast elsewhere -- we found this breakfast option stingy. Our rate was $179 /night through Priceline, but this quickly blew up to over $330 /night with all the fees: Savannah local taxes, Georgia taxes, and whatever a "destination fee" is add a huge chunk, and the hotel itself charges $32 /day (per day -- not per night, so you pay for your arrival day and your departure day) resort fee. No self-parking is available, and valet parking is another $50 /day. If you find street parking, you'll need to pay with a credit card through one of their kiosks. We opted to park one block down /one block over at Bryan Street City Parking, which is $20 /day -- convenient /highly recommended -- we did not use our car during the trip, as everything is so walkable. We arrived on a Monday and Bryan Street Parking had plenty of availability -- parking in Savannah, in general, is a nightmare. Final thought: the STAFF was very friendly /helpful.

Incredible vacation to remember
Pros:

The River Street Inn was amazing. Right on the river front. So much to see and do. Our accommodations were impeccable and the service from every member of the staff was excellent. Bradley, who hosted the manager’s reception each evening was incredible. He put out quite a spread and was so responsive to our questions about things to do in Savannah.

This was our second stay & I’m sure there will be a third!
Pros:

The service was on spot. The Valet service was remarkable. Mr. Lamon & Sams, Mr. Leader Artis IV, & Mr. Chris Dudley did an amazing job with helping us load & unload the truck. The retrieval of our vehicle was always quick. They gave us a water when we were parched! Excellent valet service! 10 out of 10!
