This hotel needs a lot of work, and not in the way the ongoing construction will fix.
The rooms are dated, at best. Hopefully this will improve with the renovations. However, there is no easy access to outlets anywhere in the room. So to do mundane tasks, such as charge your phone, you are required to hunt around the room for outlets. I found one partially covered by the bedside wall mounted stand and one behind the desk in the room. So neither was normally accessible.
The hotel also has an incredibly strange setup for breakfast. Guests are required to check in and give personal information, including email address, in order for a hotel employee to give them a plate for the breakfast buffet. If verifying someone is a guest is needed, handing over PII isn't the way to do that. This forced interaction adds nothing but a choke point to the process and force people to sign up for marketing campaigns by giving information that is completely unrelated to the task at hand.
Finally, the food served on the buffet is largely unmonitored for food safety. I encountered food that was cold and hard, so had been held outside of a safe temperature for long enough to get to that state. So even if you give in and give information for their marketing, the food might not even be safe to eat.
Very good, substantial free breakfast; especially liked the McDonald's-style hash brown patties. Friendly and helpful staff.
nice breakfast spread. Could have more options though.
pricing could be a little better. hot breakfast options are lacking a bit.
Loved the room great location easy to find. Staff was more then great. The evening desk guy was wonderful and the breakfast lady was awesome. My kids said she definitely reminds them of a Grammy that everyone wants lol. The whole place was just exceptional.
Undergoing renovations, but service was great, especially breakfast with the super-efficient and very friendly Ramona. We have stated there 3 to 5 times a year for many years.
The staff was pleasant and welcoming upon our arrival after having an extremely long day. In the morning we were able to visit the gym and work out for a bit. We missed breakfast but we were able to enjoy tea. Our overall stay was very good. It was quiet and private.
All went well.
At 1 am on 16th March, I woke up feeling stuffy, only to realize that electricity of the room was cut off. After calling front desk, I was told that the entire hotel was in a blackout. This was the case when I checked out at 6 am. Just surreal and a real nightmare.
Ramona was great. I’ve stayed at this location a few times, and she always remembers me. She was extremely welcoming and made sure that I took advantage of the complimentary breakfast when I was running late. She was the highlight of my stay at this hotel.
The lady greeting , everyone at breakfast was amazing.
Construction workers using the same elevator as everyone else, water pressure, the bed and pull-out sofa were not comfortable at all.
I stayed at the Hyatt Place for 4 months recupurating from an ankle injury. I was thrilled with the level of service. From the front desk staff, who were so lovely and helpful to the housekeeping staff who were pleasant and helpful. Shout outs to housekeeper Marie D. Aisleigh at the front desk, Ramona the magnificent breakfast manager, and especially Jurell on the front desk who is thoughtful, winsome and a customer service expert.
My room was clean and comfortable and handicapped accesible. I would highly recommend this hotel with it's great customer service and proximity to Boston.
