I use to love this hotel. This was my husband and I favorite staycation location. It's very walkable and the cleanliness is on point. However, the breakfast situation is ridiculous! 🙄 They close down whenever they want to. It's posted Monday-Friday from 6:30a-9:30a. We came down at 8:45am. They hid in the back while we thought they were preparing additional food. A lady came out and saw us and ran back in the back. We waited for approximately 7 minutes thinking they were preparing additional foods. As soon as we walked away, they grabbed all the pans, etc. and closed at 8:55am. A family of 8 came down for breakfast at 9:15am and was very upset to find out that the breakfast area was closed. The next day (Saturday), breakfast was supposed to be open from 7-10am. We arrive at 8:45am to once again find 1 piece of french toast cut in half. I'm over it!! If you don't want to offer breakfast don't offer it! The breakfast sucks anyway! It's the same breakfast everyday, no variety ...frozen French toast, greasy sausages and eggs!! The swimming pool has been saying closed for maintenance for years! I am a Discoverist member and I am seriously considering going to another hotel brand. The staff is very friendly however but the breakfast went from bad to worse and stop the lies about the swimming pool. Just say its permanently closed! Next time I have a staycation in Schaumburg, I'm looking for another hotel with a breakfast staff that doesn't hide from the hotel guest. Completely ridiculous!!

Nice and clean and friendly

This was my first time staying at a Hyatt property and some of the reviews made me a little nervous to be honest.

I had a very nice, peaceful stay. Place is very clean and the breakfast was very convenient with additional seating off the main area. Quite a few hot options as well as the usual dry goods. I enjoyed it.

Staff upgraded me to a top floor room. Big tv with chrome cast feature and nice desk to work on.

The lack of a pool wasn’t an issue for me and this fit my needs very well.

I would recommend this hotel.

Not great on cleanliness. Prepare to wait for someone who happens by the desk for help even at check in. I generally like a Marriott but this one was not at all what I’ve come to admire about this chain.

The room and bed were great. We actually slept the first night the bed was so comfy. The breakfast was good also.

Location was ideal for proximity to shopping and the convention center. The breakfast was disappointing as many items were not replenished and/or not available. Rooms were clean and spacious but the toilet in our room was not working well from the start. It was difficult at times to find someone at the front desk (and the phone in room would not connect to front desk). Tried 2 different ice machines, which did not work.

We arrived and stood at the checkin in counter for a five minutes before helped. An employee working the bar had to yell for the employee working the front desk to come help myself and another lady that was before me to check in. She was in a room just talking to another lady and didn’t even realize how long we were standing there.

The pool was closed for “maintenance” but the water was filled to the top and you could smell the chlorine from outside. Rumor is that this hotel closes their pool for “maintenance” every time the Gold Rush cheer competition is going on. When I booked back in October of 2025, there was nothing on the website saying the pool was closed for “maintenance.” If you’re going to close your pool for “maintenance” you should contact people and let them know because I would’ve changed to a different hotel that has a “working” pool. But instead, I had to deal with three extremely upset kids because that was of course what they were looking forward to. We didn’t get a sorry for the inconvenience, here’s some money off, here’s this or that, it was “It’s closed and deal with it.”

Breakfast was ok. I had to help set it up Sunday morning because for some reason they weren’t ready. It was a decent breakfast but I don’t understand why you start breakfast at 7am on Sunday when people are up super early checking out.

WiFi wasn’t the greatest and we could barely get things to load on our phones.

Overall, the rooms were nice. Bathrooms are small. And oh yeah, NO POOL.

Great Customer Service. Hotel Manager showed great care and concern for a mix-up of our reservations. She handled great!!!! Housekeeping and Event staff was very helpful and responded immediately to any concerns or request that we may have had.

Very nice and smooth stay. Quick check in, cart available right away to bring things up. Comfortable beds and good water pressure. Like having the couch in the room. Breakfast was surprisingly good. Location right by everything we needed. Def would stay again.

Rooms and everything was clean. We chose not to stay with the rest of our party at another location because this one had a pool or so it showed on their website. Pool said down for maintenance so asked the front desk and they said it has been down for 3 years. Asked why it still advertised as one and was told they had taken it down. Still up I checked before writing this. Would have stayed with the rest of our party if we knew this prior.

Very clean and spacious. Nice reception area and breakfast area.
The bed and room furnishings were nice. Bed was comfortable.
