We had a pleasant stay. Manor of Groves is a large estate with golf course large car park, swimming pool. Outside area to sit. The room was fine - WiFi good enough, bath and bathroom very nice, kettle- tea bags etc, TV with freeview channels. We did not have breakfast or any meals although did enjoy a drink outside. We walked to a local Indian - Chandinis which was good. As it was a heatwave we enjoyed use of the swimming pool. There are some nice walks in the area.

Staff were lovely
Room was nice
Could mirror on the TV from phone
Pool area was poor
Jacuzzi not working
Showings not working
Seating outside by pool was not good
Drive in to property lovely , had high expectations, Entrance and staff welcoming. Temperature of the pool nice nice .
Decor scruffy , we moved bed for bigger gap condom underneath, no fridge . No spa facilities available only pool ,this was the reas9n why I chose this stay. No air-conditioning only 1x fan
Lovely garden, easy access to bar and restaurant
No air-conditioning in the room on the hottest of the year
Clean and location
Unwelcoming staff, unable to obtain meal in hotel due to two weddings with guests in the bar area which we were not advised followed by incorrect information that food could be purchased in the golf club that was closed
The hotel was very clean, peaceful location and staff were smart and helpful
Excellent breakfast and parking
Staff disinterested, we even had to ask about breakfast arrangements. Room was too hot, towel radiator was always on, though there was a fan it just moved the hot air around.
The price of the room was such good value for money and the room was clean and comfy
The staff very friendly and helpful
The grounds to sit outside and have food and drink are beautiful
Had a drink in the bar and asked for a large wine it was £9.20 but was the smallest wine I had ever had so very overpriced
Terrible experience at this hotel had an event which was poorly managed or not managed at all! Tried to complain and no response from the manager still to date. Spa in horrible condition and most things broken. Breakfast was embarrassing and no where to sit place falling apart . Caravans in car park with people living in them worst experience I have ever had for a party! Don’t book here unless you want disappointment
Location
Staff unwelcoming. Room cold, dark and damp in basement. Bed uncomfortable. Shower flooded bathroom floor every time it was used.
Gym and steam
Small bed in the room and temperature inside the room.
Stayed at this hotel for a wedding reception on going in and looking up at the decorations in the entrance hall you can see loads on cobwebs where it obviously hasn’t been cleaned for a long time
The tablecloth’s we’re dirty
wire hanging from the beams where old decorations had been apparently the hall wasn’t set up correctly and had to be changed as per the previous meetings things were missing that had been promised but couldn’t be changed on the day conveniently there coordinator wasn’t there that day
The buffet was nice but taken away very quickly and didn’t even have any napkins even gave on person toilet roll to wipe his hands
the room was a good size but a bit tied
now the breakfast which was terrible first of all the plates were cold even though they were on a plate warmer that wasn’t switched on chairs in front of the buffet which people have to lean over and the food was nearly cold
the staff more interested in standing around talking to each other then doing something all in all we would never stay there again and would not recommend it to anyone
