Very good
Room was dark poor lighting
Pillows were awful sub standard
Parking
It’s looking tired rooms need refit heating not working had to ask for heater ☹️
The bedroom and the grounds fantastic leisure facilities so poor cold water no jacuzzi, no sauna to be honest pretty standard this lately no short spin in changing room rust around pool alot better but maintenance guy needs to do better use grey amirite paint on pillars get rid of rusty container near pool. Food was not the best by far agency chef or cook poor
Not like the past
Our bedrooms was over the dance floor our bed didn't stop vibrating until 12 am
We did get a free cream tea compensation but was not peaceful just in a room with 40th other person sat with
To many cakes should be cakes savouries not just sandwiches but perhaps butchers sausage roll .what there service is not a traditional cream tea so why not mix it up a bit we have local farm shops that could supply in harlow or Sawbridgeworth so easy
It's so upsetting as this place could be 10/10 with the right management to organise the food standard, and maintenance team don't seem to interested in being on top of the rust and broken chair near to our room
Iv been to places similar around and the standard of manor grove is probably a 6/10
Mostly based on location and room
The staff seem nice and understand of the situation but helpless which is not good
Manager I honestly don't think 🤔 he knows what quality he should be providing
Maybe I should take him out to a few places, and work with cooks and maintenance man to understand what's going on and why
.
Omg wrong area look in other above
Convenient for the location of my business next day
It had a pool
No working kettle
Check in staff charged me the wrong amount then insisted on a second payment prior to the return of the first payment
Bed mattress was broken
Morning breakfast staff were lazy and more interested in chatting than serving or replenishing food
Pool is run down with missing tiles and broken equipment including sauna
Carpets outside of room were dirty
Food, bar and gym/pool. Overall nice but getting a bit tired and worn down.
No heating in room, single duvet on a bigger than single bed and no blankets. Radiator valve fell off and was not looked at. No hot water in bathroom in morning so used Health Spa facilities.... a long walk!!
We had half board (breakfast and diner) the 3 course food what we choose was perfect for diner, the breakfast also was good choice of continental and hot food.
Big thanks for the kitchen staff.
We arrived 30 minutes earlier than the check in time (14:30) we had to wait untill 3pm (wasn't problem, just we was lucky we didn't arrived earlier) The room was good size, the bathroom as well, the bed was confi, the pool was amazing to swimming, my wife used the steam and sauna rooms as well so the SPA section also perfect for relax.
Fake info from the reception, after "I complain" ask them regarding the missing hot water in our bathroom + was no heating.
They apologised and said "the boiler has been restarted because too many guest used in the same time, so will take cople of hours to back to normal funkcion" (it was acceptable answer but in the morning the room was cold and was no hot water, same like night before)
The bathroom was beautiful! I loved the vibe of the 4 poster room
Location and staff
Nothing
Location
Room was a bit tired. Noisy door in corridor kept swinging. Bed was two single beds with mattresses with large ridges around the edge pushed together so you couldn’t lie in the middle of the bed without lying on the ridges which was rather uncomfortable.
Water was not cold but it wasn’t hot.
Breakfast service at 8am stated too late on Sunday to be able to make use of it.
Basement courtyard had people outside my window between 3 and 4 am smoking and talking loudly that disturbed my night.
Room size was good
After a disturbed night's sleep on our first night due to noisy people next door, after numerous calls to reception, the police eventually evicted the occupants of the next door room at around 1:40 am, when we complained the next morning, the hotel offered us a drink as recompense - absolutely derisory, as we'd booked through booking.com we were told to contact them for a partial refund for the affected night - booking.com eventually offered us £19. The room was rated as Superior but the shower and bathroom curtains had black mould, the windows were covered in dead insects and the corridor to the room was definitely due a renovation.
