Location
A proper bar area would be better
The peace and quiet
Some of the staff were rude and still waiting for a refund for the Sunday as I checked out and then went to check back in and was told that im baned and that they would refund me when the accountant was in on Monday.
Grounds & healthclub
40 mins to check-in. Grubby, shabby bedroom. Blown lightbulbs in bathroom. Bedroom doors all slam shut very loud, corridor floorboards squeak noisily. Room not well cleaned, thankfully I took slippers! ancient cobwebs hanging from ceilings, net curtains full of dust. bath not cleaned. Bed & bedding cheap & cheerful, fairly comfortable but not great. Breakfast OK, coffee machine not working one morning.
Nothing working in spa
Spa
Beautiful settings, food was really nice in the bar area and reasonably priced, staff friendly and helpful, for the price the room was really good and had everything we needed the bed was really comfortable
We used the spa there during our visit and the sauna and jacuzzi wasn’t working or the showers by the pool. The outside seating area needs a little tlc and the pool area was a bit dirty and needs some work doing but this aside the hotel stay was really nice and I would stay here again
Evening meal excellent
Exercise classes well run and friendly
2 double rooms were comfortable and quiet
No coffee available from the bar on arrival - the only machine took over an hour to clean
My son was in a single room - directly above a very noisy private function (no advance warning) - noise unbearable at 11pm, so he couldn't go to bed. Reception staff offered no solution, no alternative room, fairly unapologetic. Party of 5 eventually given 2 free drinks (between 5!) and had to sit in semi-darkness (bar closed) until function finished at midnight. Complaint to hotel management resulted in an apology, but my request for a very modest refund (less than 25% of the cost of the room) was ignored twice.
Polecam
Room was good and bed comfortable
No one in the entire hotel or health club could supply a token or £1 coin to use the locker for a swim. No one seemed particularly bothered either. This is the main reason I have used this hotel and it is a little further away from clients.
Szép környezet!!
Higy csak 3utan lehetett a szállásra menni!!
Nice outdoor garden, well lit and quiet reception area. The gym and swimming pool were quite nice.
The bedroom where we stayed although called a ‘superior room’ was shabby and in need of redecorating. The room was on the top floor, extremely hot and we needed to have the fans on 24hrs. Some of the light switched didn’t work and the corridor where our bedroom was, had a horrible smell like rotting yogurt the entire time.
Everything on site
Nothing stayed several times
It is a nice location between Stansted and Harlow so suited me. The grounds are quite impressive as it is set within a golf course and so very quiet.
The bar and breakfast area felt very much like one of the cheaper chain hotels, zero character or charm. Rooms were ok, nothing special. Breakfast only starts at 7.00 and then there is a rush. Breakfast choice and quality was average.
Staff were friendly
Very hard to find
Shower was terrible and got the entire bathroom wet
Woke up to doors slamming and people shouting in corridors
Breakfast wasnt good
Location
Rooms scruffy need decorating, toilet broken and running on, bedside light not working, light in morning through curtains not fitting, no biscuits or water in room
Bar area soulless and staff not interested and not welcoming no one asked if stay was ok
