Great stay. The hotel and room were great. We stay here mainly for events..concerts and such.Shuttle times to events need to improve. They changed since our last visit.Shuttles to an event at Hayden homes ampitheatre started half an hour before gates opening. They should start atleast 2hrs prior at 30 minute intervals. We didnt use the shuttle this time because we didnt want to be at the end of the line when the gates opened. This negated our main reason for staying here.
The room had an ant problem and they were all over everything. Of course I didn’t notice until I ate something full of ants
Spacious room
Very comfortable bed
River view
Excellent on site restaurant
Room was a bit dark but not a big issue
The restaurant was nice and the bunk beds option
There were 2 pubic hairs in the shower on the wall before any of us had showered, i was the first and it was gross. The walls are so thin we could hear EVERYTHING in hue next room. They charge MANY fees including a resort fee or something like that, THIS PLACE IS NOWHERE NEAR A RESORT lol. They boast a “balcony”…. NO, this was a small patch of dirt and rocks with 2 old chairs and and an old table. Not worth the money we paid.
Not at all. Won’t stay there again.
I was very disappointed with my stay at Riverhouse Lodge. I booked a river-view room with two queen beds and a fire pit, but after accepting what was described as an upgrade, I was placed in a standard room that did not match what was promised. When I asked to return to my original room, the front desk was unhelpful and refused to let me speak with a manager. To make matters worse, a rollaway bed arrived with visibly stained sheets. Additional issues with room key access and repeated customer service failures left me feeling dismissed, frustrated, and unlikely to return.

Remarkable experience
Rooms were clean and they weren’t fancy or expensive… I didn’t travel to the Oregon coast to sit in a room
I’d stay there again
What a lovely lodge, right along the banks of the Deschutes River a bit north of Bend's downtown. We had an incredibly comfortable, spacious, well-appointed river-view room. Despite the carpet having a few stains, otherwise the room had all of the modern conveniences with absolute comfort in mind, and the bed was simply one of the best we've slept on at a hotel in many, many years. The staff here are kind, too, and the amenities, including the pool, check-in process, and more were spot-on. Thank you, Riverhouse, for making our stay in Bend so, so pleasant. We will be back.
I have stayed at Riverhouse Lodge many times because it is dog friendly and offers a reasonable value for its beautiful location, friendly staff, and on-site restaurant. It is obviously an older property with some deferred upgrades, but charming in most ways.
Unfortunately, the above doesn't matter if you can't sleep. All night, my in-room air conditioning unit intermittently made extraordinarily loud noises indicating a mechanical defect, definitely atypical for the mild weather and even an old A/C unit. These things can happen randomly with any machine, I thought...
...later I saw many online guest reviews complaining about the exact same A/C issues over recent months and years, and repeated management responses that it was being resolved. That obviously wasn't true, and that really bothers me.
Management should skip the boilerplate assurances about how valuable guest feedback is, and just give or sell quality earplugs at the check-in desk.
Not what we expected, we reserved a room with two queens and two twins to accommodate a family. we got a king and a sub par roll away.
Please Remember to bring your own trash bags to empty the trash bins, coz they didn’t provide even requested for room cleaning.
