Sea World Resort

Sea World Australia is incredible! A perfect mix of thrilling rides and amazing marine life. The polar bears and dolphin shows were highlights. Very clean, well-organized, and great for families. An absolute must-visit on the Gold Coast!

We actually stayed at Sea World for a couple of nights because I was doing my Jet Ski License training at the Marine Rescue base right next to Sea World. The theory exam commenced at 6 am to be followed by a couple of hours on the water so staying at Sea World Residences for a couple of nights seemed an excellent idea.

We stayed in a Spar Suite overlooking the water and the suite was excellent and even had three television with one in the bathroom overlooking the Spar Bath, now beat that !! We managed to experience a fairly child free stay by dining in a relaxed manner before 4 pm and having a leisurely breakfast in our suite.
Our meals were excellent the service fast and friendly and the Resort clean and spacious.
For the resort: My experience of snorkeling on the Resorts Corral Reef and swimming amongst LOTS of HUGE Sharks was amazing.
My wife loved her close up with the Dolphins and the Polar Bear display.
And yes as an 80 year old I did get my Jet Ski License and swam with sharks in the same day. I learnt to fly in 2024 so now back to boats.

If you are staying with kids book the queen room view with access to the pool. We stayed with a baby and two active boys. Easy to switch between parents to have fun and look after the children.

Highly recommend for families. Friendly and helpful staff, comfortable beds, melrose italian so yum, the shoreline breakfast too! The pool is always maintained and clean. And the view sunrise (before baby gets up) and sunset (before baby sleeps) so stunning! There are activities for kids too. Reviews said it might feel isolated but really you have everything you need in the resort and if you need to go around its just few minutes drive. Ye, defo hire a car specially if you have kids. There is an access to the beach from the resort.

And because the package includes sea world entrance, we went to sea world three times! Lol

Sea World Gold Coast & Sea World Resort – A Truly Special Family Getaway
Our stay at Sea World Resort, combined with our time at Sea World Gold Coast, was an unforgettable part of our holiday. From the moment we arrived, everything felt thoughtfully designed to create a relaxed, high-quality family experience.
Staying at the resort elevated the entire trip. The rooms were comfortable and beautifully maintained, the grounds were immaculate, and the facilities were excellent. Having direct, easy access to the park was a luxury in itself — it allowed us to move at our own pace and truly enjoy the experience without feeling rushed.
Sea World Park was outstanding. The animal experiences were engaging and clearly well cared for, and the rides and attractions delivered both excitement and fun for all ages. The park was clean, well organised, and the staff were consistently friendly, professional, and welcoming.
The resort pools, dining options, and calm atmosphere were perfect for unwinding after full days of adventure. It struck a wonderful balance between excitement for the kids and relaxation for the adults.
Sea World Resort and Park delivered a premium, family-focused experience that created beautiful memories for us all. We would highly recommend it to families seeking a seamless, memorable, and truly special Gold Coast holiday.

Overall, our stay was enjoyable. The check‑in and check‑out staff were friendly and efficient, and we appreciated being granted early check‑in. It was also very helpful that we were able to store our luggage after checking out, allowing us to visit Sea World Theme Park one more time without any hassle. The concierge team was excellent and provided great assistance throughout our stay.

We also appreciated the thoughtful touches—the two complimentary bottles of welcome wine for guests and the stuffed toy souvenir for the kids made the experience feel extra special for our family.

The resort itself was very clean, especially in the common areas, which made the environment feel welcoming and well‑maintained. Another big advantage was the easy access to the Sea World Theme Park, which made moving between the resort and the park incredibly convenient for families.

One suggestion we’d like to share is the addition of a shuttle service from the resort to the nearest bus stop. This would be especially helpful for guests who may need extra assistance, such as pregnant women, the elderly, or persons with disabilities (PWDs).

Despite these minor areas for improvement, we would definitely recommend the resort to friends.

parking can be tight in peak holiday periods but all the positives outweigh the parking.

Absolutely great location, peaceful and perfect for families. Rooms are just what you need, atmosphere was fun and easy access to seaworld. All staff were great.

Booked one night to Sea World Resort. The Eat, Stay and Play package was great value. For $660, they include 5x theme parks tickets, extra bed, buffet dinner and breakfast and two days access to 4 theme parks. Great value!

We stayed at the Garden Wing during NYE in 2021 and had a wonderful experience, so we decided to return to Sea World Resort this year with our children. Unfortunately, our recent stay in the Bay Wing was shocking in every possible way.

For two nights at AUD $1,106 plus $98 for one day of breakfast, we expected a comfortable, family-friendly experience. Instead, what we received was far below standard.

First, the room had no ceiling light at all. When we returned to the room at night, it was almost impossible to see anything. The only lighting came from one small table lamp and two reading lights. For a family room at this price point, this is simply unacceptable.

The bathroom bathtub was rusty, to the point where I had to remind my kids to wear their thongs inside the tub while showering. Maintenance clearly has not been kept up.

The worst experience happened on our second night: when we returned to the room at around 10:30pm, the door lock had no battery. Our swipe cards no longer worked, and the phone at the front desk went unanswered. We had to walk all the way back to reception ourselves to ask someone to open the door with the master key. Because it was late and we were checking out the next morning, security tried their best, but no staff ever came to fix the lock. This meant that one adult had to stay awake and wait for the other to come back from doing laundry, simply because the lock was unusable. It was unbelievably inconvenient and unprofessional.

The pool area was also poorly managed. A baby vomited in the pool, and with only one lifeguard on duty for such a large crowd, there was no immediate communication or warning to other guests. Overall, the resort’s management felt chaotic and far below acceptable standards.

To top it off, the poolside bar closes at 4pm, which makes no sense at all for a family resort where most people would enjoy drinks and snacks in the late afternoon.

Aside from being close to Sea World, I honestly cannot see any reason to stay at this resort. The facilities, service, and overall management are nowhere near the level they should be for the price they charge. Unless you are a die-hard Sea World visitor, there is absolutely no need to stay here. Sadly, after this experience, we will not be returning.

SeaWorld resort is definitely close to SeaWorld but that is probably where the positives stop for our family. We have stayed here 3 nights and the food is overpriced and not great (For example, Fettucine Carbonara had 4 pieces of bacon in it and was oily and bland). Most restaurants (if open) don't take bookings so you need to queue - and then nobody communicates with you as to how long you will wait or just a simple hello. No one returned to the table after we had finished our food. We were going to order dessert but felt like we were in the way (at 8pm). Most of the check-in process is completed online - which is fine for convenience - but then there is no information given at all regarding the facilities, what is located where and what is on etc. Happened to walk past a movie playing outside on our last night... had no idea this even occurred. It's just strange... nearly everything is shut down by 9pm - so don't even bother if your children are more than 10 years old.

The resort lobby and amenities are lovely. The staff are friendly and helpful, food is reasonably priced for a hotel and mostly good quality. The car parking is great for hotel guests and entry/exit to SeaWorld is very handy when your stay includes unlimited access to SeaWorld and the other affiliated parks. Very handy to pop into SeaWorld at opening time or just before closing time if you have young children and want to avoid the waiting lines.
The pool is a bit chaotic but the lifeguards are excellent and were actively watching everyone in the pool all the times we were there, one lovely lifeguard even helped enforce the instructions I’d given my children for where they could and couldn’t swim, they might ignore me but they didn’t ignore him!
The beds are comfortable and housekeeping do a lovely job of tidying the room daily, I’d say the only downside is that the Bay wing rooms need updating, nothing awful it just feels like an old hotel room when the rest of the hotel is quite nice.

After becoming a parent, I thought my pool party days were behind me... That was until I accidentally stumbled upon Sea World Resort on NYE. We booked at the last minute, thinking it would be nice to spend NYE somewhere novel, and were blown away by the family-friendly New Year's Eve party – complete with DJs, live saxophonist, roving performers, food trucks (special mention to the walking tacos), water slide play grounds for the kids, and resort-style pools. It wasn't messy or showy, and I'm blown away by how much fun is possible at a family-friendly event.

My experience at SeaWorld Orlando was a total disaster—a solid Grade F. I was shocked to find that the major, modern parts of the park were roped off and completely inaccessible. We were forced to stay in the old section of the park, which felt extremely outdated. To make matters worse, it seemed like 98% of the people there were from India, which gave the entire park a very specific and narrow atmosphere rather than the broad, world-class Florida attraction I paid for. I cannot believe how terrible the experience was and how poorly this park is being managed. I will never go back.

We have stayed here on several occasions in the past and returned again for birthday weekend. Very comfy beds, great hot showers, quiet rooms. The breakfast is incredible - so much variety and all freshly cooked. The place is crazy busy but the staff keep everything stocked up and people move in and out incredibly quickly - great value when you include in your booking.
Parking is really problematic, however, with the carpark over flowing. We had learnt from previous experience not to park along the street as there is a really hefty fine (even though the streets are lined with cars illegally parked).
Very limited room in the mini fridge in the rooms to store cold drinks and the iron and ironing board was terrible to use when trying to iron clothes for going out.
Be aware that if you have booked transfers to different activities (eg outback spectacular), there are no numbers you can contact to confirm bookings and pick up times after 5pm. Our booking ticket said pick up at 5pm and they arrived at 6pm. As the booking occurs outside of the resort, concierge is unable to help with communication and conn-x-ions do not have a number to call on their website to confirm details of pick up and SeaWorld resort bookings number also closed at 5pm. If you book a pre show backstage tour, timelines are super tight getting from SeaWorld resort to outback spectacular via conn-x-ions.

We had an amazing fun filled holiday at Seaworld resort, such a beautiful place and wonderful activities for the kids! We will dedinitely visit again 🙃

The choice of restaurants and bars were great. Pricing of them wasn’t as bad as I expected, except it was $6.50 for 600ml water. Ended up going to Cole’s and grabbing a 24 pack.

The location is quite out of the way of the hustle and bustle of the gold
Coast which we enjoyed and having so many amenities in the resort Meant we don’t have to leave.

The room was a little small as we have a crawling baby. Beds comfy, bathroom is a little outdated, so overall the room was good, our sea view was blocked by a frangipani tree.
