We love staying here ! We stay here every year and enjoy it each and every time we stay
A very enjoyable holiday .Will go again next year
2nd time staying at SeaWorld resort, we can’t fault it. We had the best time the kids had a blast. All the food and restaurants in the resort are delicious and so convenient after a big day spent at the theme parks you can stay in and unwind by the pool with dinner. We will be back again 🫶🏼
Overall we had a good stay at Sea World Resort. It’s probably best described as a solid mid-range family resort with some really nice features, particularly for kids.
The pool area is a highlight. The main pool is great and the kids’ splash pad is excellent — it’s clearly designed with families in mind and our child spent a lot of time there. If you’re travelling with children, the resort setup works well and there’s plenty to keep them entertained.
The food at the resort restaurants was generally good, although it is on the expensive side. The dinner buffet at around $75 per person was actually quite good with a decent selection, and the breakfast buffet was also enjoyable (though I’m not sure of the exact price). Some of the à la carte dishes felt a bit pricey for the portion size — for example a $25 pasta dish was quite small. Vegetarian options were also somewhat limited, which could be improved.
The location is pleasant and quiet since it’s a little removed from the busy areas of the Gold Coast, though that also means it’s a bit isolated. The nearest bus stop is about a 15-minute walk away and getting to Main Beach by Uber was around $18. One thing to keep in mind is that if the Gold Coast street racing event is on, traffic around the area becomes very difficult and noisy.
Our Deluxe Queen Room was small but comfortable overall but there were a few maintenance issues that could use attention. The shower and sink drained quite slowly and the air conditioner made a constant ticking noise. The bathroom door frame was partly rotten, and housekeeping missed a couple of things in the bathroom that should have been cleaned - feces on the wall for example. We also had a couple of towels that probably should have been replaced rather than reused.
Despite those issues, we still had an enjoyable stay. The resort has a relaxed atmosphere, great facilities for families, and being right next to Sea World is a big advantage if you’re planning to visit the park.
We stayed here recently in March 2026 as it was cheaper to stay here with the included park entry than to just enter the park separately. The room was clean, comfy and the facilities well maintained. My daughter loved the water park and pools. Didn’t sample any of the restaurants but was surprised by the many different options available. Would definitely go back for a longer family holiday.
Check-in was an extremely frustrating start to our stay. Reception had ongoing issues with their card reader and couldn’t process our card despite multiple attempts, which wasted so much of our time. Because of this, we were also unable to have a card attached to the booking, meaning we couldn’t charge anything to the room for the entire stay , something that should be a very basic process for any hotel.
Our drink vouchers were also not ready at check-in. Staff eventually brought them up to our room later that evening and told us they had added two complimentary drinks for that day due to the inconvenience. However, when I went down to the pool bar to use them, I was told they were actually dated for the following day and couldn’t be accepted. I then had to go back up to reception to sort it out and return to the bar again. It felt unnecessarily disorganised and turned what was meant to be a small gesture of goodwill into another inconvenience.
While the room itself appeared reasonably updated, the bathroom was disappointing. There is no exhaust fan, the shower looked dirty, and the water stunk while showering.
The walls are so thin you can hear everything next door to you and footsteps upstairs and outside all day and night.
We had also requested a microwave when making the booking online, but there wasn’t one in the room when we arrived. On the second day I called reception to follow this up and was told one would be delivered the next day for $10 per day. Despite this, it never arrived. Then when we checked out on the final day they had to audacity to try and charge me $30 for the microwave that never arrived with no apologies just a cya later.
Buffet breakfast was great but expensive to eat at the resort in the lobby bar with the food being definitely not enjoyable or worth the price we paid.
Most of the staff were lovely and it was good being so close to SeaWorld and the pool is good!
Overall, the stay did not meet expectations, particularly given the price and standard the hotel advertises. With multiple issues throughout the stay that were either poorly handled or never resolved, the experience felt underwhelming.
The staff were the best part of the experience here. There were just quite a number of smallish things that detracted. Our Garden Wing room faced a blank wall and while this gave privacy it was very unappealing. There was no screen door so we couldn’t leave the door open (mozzies). The bathroom got really steamed up with no exhaust fan, so everything was wet and of course the stinky toilet a long time to freshen up. What soured it in the end was when we asked for a late checkout, they wanted to charge us $30 extra for just one hour.
On the plus side the beds were very comfy and the frige actually kept our milk cold.
But it’s the small things that make or break an experience.
The good: location, location, location of you want to visit SeaWorld as a family. The hotel is very geared to family groups as it should be and overall provides good service and nice amenities. The staff are friendly and helpful.
The an average: we found eating there was a bit of an OK experience. Not a fan of buffets we avoid them, this leaves a bar menu that’s ok and an Italian take out type place and Japanese. The rooms are fine but appear to have had a cosmetic facelift rather than being updated. Our kettle wasn’t working and we r had to ask for one to be delivered to our room, it did arrive quickly.
The poor: the amount of restaurants and space on Friday was inadequate. Check your stay includes tickets, I assumed all booked rooms would include tickets at $430.00 per night but that is not the case. Also I booked a King Water view room and found ourselves i a double garden view room! Perhaps less priority because we booked through a third party. In future id probably choose to stay at another resort and just buy tickets. We did have a really nice weekend but i feel the resort is tiered and not quite worth the $ being paid.
This was one of the most alarming and unacceptable experiences we have ever had at a so-called “family resort.”
My partner became violently ill after drinking water from a bubbler inside the Sea World theme park, with symptoms severe enough that medical advice was to attend hospital. This was not a minor illness or inconvenience — it was a serious health incident that ruined our stay and placed my partner at risk.
Sea World Resort’s response was disgraceful.
Despite multiple requests, they failed to provide a single piece of evidence that any water quality testing was conducted following this incident. No laboratory report. No compliance documentation. No proof that the water source was safe. Expecting guests to simply “take their word for it” after someone becomes severely ill is completely unacceptable and deeply concerning.
What is even worse is the total absence of accountability. After a hospital referral, significant suffering, and the complete disruption of our holiday, Sea World Resort refused to offer any meaningful compensation. No refund, no goodwill gesture, no acknowledgement of responsibility — just corporate silence and deflection.
This raises extremely serious questions about water safety, public health compliance, and risk management practices at both the resort and the theme park. The handling of this incident suggests a culture more concerned with protecting itself than protecting guests.
For a venue that markets itself to families and children, this level of negligence is alarming. If you value health, safety, and transparency, think very carefully before staying here or allowing your family to use their facilities.
We will never return.
Sea World Australia is incredible! A perfect mix of thrilling rides and amazing marine life. The polar bears and dolphin shows were highlights. Very clean, well-organized, and great for families. An absolute must-visit on the Gold Coast!
We actually stayed at Sea World for a couple of nights because I was doing my Jet Ski License training at the Marine Rescue base right next to Sea World. The theory exam commenced at 6 am to be followed by a couple of hours on the water so staying at Sea World Residences for a couple of nights seemed an excellent idea.
We stayed in a Spar Suite overlooking the water and the suite was excellent and even had three television with one in the bathroom overlooking the Spar Bath, now beat that !! We managed to experience a fairly child free stay by dining in a relaxed manner before 4 pm and having a leisurely breakfast in our suite.
Our meals were excellent the service fast and friendly and the Resort clean and spacious.
For the resort: My experience of snorkeling on the Resorts Corral Reef and swimming amongst LOTS of HUGE Sharks was amazing.
My wife loved her close up with the Dolphins and the Polar Bear display.
And yes as an 80 year old I did get my Jet Ski License and swam with sharks in the same day. I learnt to fly in 2024 so now back to boats.
If you are staying with kids book the queen room view with access to the pool. We stayed with a baby and two active boys. Easy to switch between parents to have fun and look after the children.
Highly recommend for families. Friendly and helpful staff, comfortable beds, melrose italian so yum, the shoreline breakfast too! The pool is always maintained and clean. And the view sunrise (before baby gets up) and sunset (before baby sleeps) so stunning! There are activities for kids too. Reviews said it might feel isolated but really you have everything you need in the resort and if you need to go around its just few minutes drive. Ye, defo hire a car specially if you have kids. There is an access to the beach from the resort.
And because the package includes sea world entrance, we went to sea world three times! Lol
Highly recommend.

aldi holiday package was well worth the value,

Sea World Gold Coast & Sea World Resort – A Truly Special Family Getaway
Our stay at Sea World Resort, combined with our time at Sea World Gold Coast, was an unforgettable part of our holiday. From the moment we arrived, everything felt thoughtfully designed to create a relaxed, high-quality family experience.
Staying at the resort elevated the entire trip. The rooms were comfortable and beautifully maintained, the grounds were immaculate, and the facilities were excellent. Having direct, easy access to the park was a luxury in itself — it allowed us to move at our own pace and truly enjoy the experience without feeling rushed.
Sea World Park was outstanding. The animal experiences were engaging and clearly well cared for, and the rides and attractions delivered both excitement and fun for all ages. The park was clean, well organised, and the staff were consistently friendly, professional, and welcoming.
The resort pools, dining options, and calm atmosphere were perfect for unwinding after full days of adventure. It struck a wonderful balance between excitement for the kids and relaxation for the adults.
Sea World Resort and Park delivered a premium, family-focused experience that created beautiful memories for us all. We would highly recommend it to families seeking a seamless, memorable, and truly special Gold Coast holiday.
Overall, our stay was enjoyable. The check‑in and check‑out staff were friendly and efficient, and we appreciated being granted early check‑in. It was also very helpful that we were able to store our luggage after checking out, allowing us to visit Sea World Theme Park one more time without any hassle. The concierge team was excellent and provided great assistance throughout our stay.
We also appreciated the thoughtful touches—the two complimentary bottles of welcome wine for guests and the stuffed toy souvenir for the kids made the experience feel extra special for our family.
The resort itself was very clean, especially in the common areas, which made the environment feel welcoming and well‑maintained. Another big advantage was the easy access to the Sea World Theme Park, which made moving between the resort and the park incredibly convenient for families.
One suggestion we’d like to share is the addition of a shuttle service from the resort to the nearest bus stop. This would be especially helpful for guests who may need extra assistance, such as pregnant women, the elderly, or persons with disabilities (PWDs).
Despite these minor areas for improvement, we would definitely recommend the resort to friends.
Great Family Resort Experience!. We have been there 2 years in a row, and kids and wife want to do it again and stay next year!. Super attentive staff, very diligent life savers patrolling pool area, great grounds and rooms always neat, clean and tidy. Excellent restaurants, and dining attached to the resort. Highly recommended for families, and attached to the great sea world park!. A great place to make lifelong memories. A +
Great family resort, friendly and helpful staff. Excellent pool and great room service. Food in the bar and cafe is super cheap and restaurant-quality. Overall a great experience
as always SeaWorld was excellent value Esp when coupled with theme park entry.
parking can be tight in peak holiday periods but all the positives outweigh the parking.
Absolutely great location, peaceful and perfect for families. Rooms are just what you need, atmosphere was fun and easy access to seaworld. All staff were great.
Definitely will rebook for next year.
Booked one night to Sea World Resort. The Eat, Stay and Play package was great value. For $660, they include 5x theme parks tickets, extra bed, buffet dinner and breakfast and two days access to 4 theme parks. Great value!
